Okay, I literally had NO idea where to post this, so sorry if this is the wrong Forum. My question is one of drug experiences with Tramadol and Xanax. Has anybody found this combination harmful/a living hell? Or has anybody felt this combination a gift from the God's? =D
I'm hurt my back and am prescribed 50mg Tramadol as well as having Anxiety disorder and prescribed Xanax. My plan is to take 100mg Tramadol and my normal 4mg dose of Xanax. Any advice, experiences, warnings, etc? I'd appreciate it. Peace all.

tramadol is a pretty poor recreational drug, and i've always found it much more enjoyable mixed with benzos. since you seem to be tolerant to alprazolam and your tramadol dose is fairly low, i see no reason to tell you not to take it.

There is no need to bump your own thread, especially when you had received a response less than an hour before. If anything, this will discourage people from responding. BL isn't a chat room, it's a forum so you need to be patient and you will get responses.

tramadol is safer when taken with an anticonvulsant because ultram is known for causing seizures. even though has poor anticonvulsant effects compared to other benzos, it still does raise the seizure threshold respectively.

In my experience -back when I could feel tramadol... - I prefer* to take benzos and tramadol separately. This way I can experience the tram to the fullest. Same goes for the benzos. That all being said, sometimes it is nice/decently enjoyable to mix the two in reasonable amounts to produce a 'smoother' feeling. For me, tramadol feels more like a speedy opiate/weed high, lasting a fairly long time (note that I would typically take ~300mg Tram at a time) and taking about 1mg clonazepam or 15-15mg diazepam or a mg alpraz would make me a bit more 'comfortable' with that speedy feeling.

Thanks for the info everyone. I really appreciate it. Question though. If Tramadol lowers the seizure threshold, wouldn't Xanax (which I'm taking as well), increase the seizure threshold? By no means do I ask that so I can take more Tramadol. The reason I ask is I've had 1 seizure in my life (a grand mal seizure) and it was the scariest thing I've experienced in the 28 years I've been alive. I don't want it to happen again.
