So I am in chronic pain every single day with my back from a sports injury, waiting on MRI Scan coming back and physio and shit, I was on 30/500 co-cos but they never touched me, I asked my doc to put me on to tramadol because I had tried them before and they worked and she did, however, she put me on 200mg per IR, 50mg4x per day or 100mg2x per day, tried both, only thing that works is 100mg4x per day so I went back and told her that today, and shes gave me the exact same dosage 4 50mg tablets daily exept they are prolonged release she said 1, 4 times per day or 2 and 2, I personally think this is bullshit, my pharmacist says try 1 every 4 hours that way it might build up a higher amount in my system because they last at least 12 hours, this is fucking annoying me Im in agony every day :X!!! What would you do ??:?

Switch meds. Since you have chronic pain, you should be on some ER pain meds and IR for breakthrough pain. What are you doing taking Tramadols when you should be on narcotics? Personal choice?

No,tramadol is a push, this doctor is reluctantant to even give me 400mgs of tramadol per day never mind anything stronger, shes a fucking idiot. I've self medicated with codeine phos and morphine sulph, both work fantastic but this bitch is just not having it regardless of how much pain i'm in.

That sucks. I'm surprised they don't have you on Hydro 7.5s at least. Can you change docs?

There are 2 surgerys next to each other but I'm trying my best not to come across as a drug seeker because I have a valium habbit and previous, so it's like fucking karma now im in real pain and I cant get narcotics that I need

I don't think any doc would label you as a drug seeker if you're getting prescribed Tramadol for chronic pain. Cmon. Any doc knows that shit isn't gon work for real pain. 2 surgeries and all you can get is Tramadol?? Damn, I feel for you. Change docs if your current doc won't help you with your pain. Surgery=narcotic meds most of the time. They may not keep you on it long term but they should give you enough for at least a week or two after your surgery. You should not be on Tramadol right now.

I haven't had any surgery as of yet but they are talking about it depending on the results of the scan, I took 200mgs of these prolonged reales fuckers about 2 hours ago and still in pain , fuck this shit goin back to the doc, but really don't know what to say, I've said everything to her even if you don't prescribe me good painkillers am I supposed to illicately source them ? she still put me on this lol

I would tell your doc the truth. The med she has you on is no effective pain med for you. It does nothing for your pain. She should be able to work with you to find a med that relieves your pain. If you've given it a good try (a week or longer), she should have no problem switching your meds to something stronger. What does she want you to do? Take 1000mg of Tramadol or something?? Even then the only thing that would do is put you to sleep. I guess that would be some pain relief but how are you spose to function.

She wont prescribe me more than 200mg tramadol per day bro, I've came to a conclusion, I need to change my doctor but that means changing surgery, I'll ask her nicely one last time but if she doesn't relieve me I'll go next door (the other surgery) but they'll want to know why I swapped and if it's bad terms it looks bad, again like drug seeking , just the way shit is about here.

Bro? LOL the name is Ms. I am a female. haha. If you have to switch because your doc is being dumb and really not helping, tell your new doc the truth. You've asked her numerous times to change your meds cuz they are not working and she wouldn't. Tell your new doc that your old doc would not listen to your concerns and you felt that she did not care about your health. See -- doesn't that sound legit and not drug-seeking behavior? You're really not a drug seeker any damn ways. You actually have chronic pain and need relief. It's all in the WAY you say it. Don't be all hype n shit if you go get a new doc. Keep it casual and professional. Good luck!
