It'll get me a lot more ripped if its a huge bowl, cuz it'll burn all that weed into one ridiculous hit. Otherwise though I don't notice much of a difference, although before I really knew how to use a torch I felt like I actually wasted alot of trees, now I'll use anything with a flame lol.

The torch lighters with red or green flames shouldn't be used in a bowl or in such a way that you're inhaling the gas.

Combusted butane isn't really bad for you (just water and carbon), but the colouring is actually metal oxide from a little bead at the nozzle. If you want you can rip it off, because breathing metal is never a good idea.

Whats the point in those little metal beads? i've seen them before on some torch lighters but never understood why...is it just for a coloured flame?

Yup. Pretty irresponsible if you ask me, seems you can buy them at bong shops with no warning.

Ya..using a torch will straight up disinagrate the THC...i think it to be a waste.

From a scientific stand point a bic lighter is too hot. The idea is to vaporize a compound not combust it. When you start using hotter temps the compound, in this case thc, will decompose into different non active compounds. What gets you high isnt the thc youve effectively destroyed using the lighter but what doesnt get hot enough to burn. Ideally you would be left with non burnt plant material and no thc. This is why people use vapos.

i used a vaporizer once and didn't get high at all.

this is for all the health freaks that are scared of butane. I actually told my buddy and he bought a shitload, its cheap, and gave me some i use it for bowls from time to time. i think its cool but not of any real benefit, more a novelty thing, but i bet you could convince yourself it is healthier.

I use a torch so I can burn the bud quickly so it doesn't get stale.

personally i find using a torch to be a waste, takes way too much concentration as to how far the flame is from the bud etc. especially when im ripped, i prefer good old bic's, they get the job done without the possibility of over-burning and prematurely pulling it through and wasting it.

Just use a screen. My acrylic bong has a metal slider and bowl, the screens are always a good choice in my opinion, because you can burn all the weed and not have to worry about it getting sucked through the bowl.
