I have this topical anti-itch solution that contains diph.
Can "recreational"/horrifying doses of diphenhydramine be effective when administered topically?

Lotions are generally a poor means of administration for sytemic effects. If you took a bath in the stuff I'm sure you'd absorb quite a bit more than using a little bit for a rash. I have to ask why one would ever want to use a topical route of administration when trying to get a high dose.

Well, just as an experiment I guess.

Only problem is this: I don't know what exact dosage I'm getting if I apply it topically, and that's a good way to overdose. The solution is 2% diphenhydramine and I have 118mL. How could I find out how many milligrams are in the bottle?

remember that most of those creams have menthol and campor, which is can be posionous if it enters your bloodstream. i don't think you can get enough dph through those topical creams, and even if you could its not a fun drug.

but if you must, just get the pills and prepare yourself for hours of delirium, confusion, disturbing life like hallucinations, dysphoria and anxiety, severe sedation and stupor, as well as unpleasant side effects like an annoying body load, severe dry mouth, fast heartbeat, and an annoying feeling of restlessness. you've been warned...

converting weights to volume or the other ways around you'd have to know the specific gravity of the substance involved to do a conversion. there are people on BL who could get out references and do the math. I'm not one of them. given the low recreational potential and poor outcomes of using benedryl recreationally I can not see putting much work into this experiment myself.
