Tools used for plugging Suboxone strips?

I've been using Suboxone for about 6 months now to help get off of opiates. I started at 1mg a day and unfortunately 6 months later I am still at 1mg a day. I plan to taper but haven't had the courage to suck it up yet.

Long story short, I've been taking them sub-lingual up until a week ago when I discovered the benefits of plugging. I picked up a 1cc oral syringe and everything worked great except the syringe has a stopper for the plunger which seems to leave about .3-.5cc solution left when it's all said and done. I know it doesn't seem like much but the addict in me is just screaming about all the Suboxone left in that solution getting wasted.

I tried cutting the needle off of a 1cc syringe and sanded it down, this also worked fine except it was slightly painful when the plunger poked through. Is there a better tool that I'm not aware of? Am I being stupid about the little bit of Suboxone being left in the syringe? Just curious if anyone else could chime in on their experience. :)

how much solution is originally in the syringe you're using; how diluted is it? it's most likely a negligible amount as the 3 and 5mL luer lock syringes i use for shooting morphine always have a little solution left over but it's really nothing that's going to make much of a difference.

alternatively using an insulin syringe without the tip is another solution. they leave next to nothing in the barrel once the plunger has been depressed.

you shouldn't need to cut off the tip and sand anything down. just use a pair of multi-grips, pliers or similar and pull the tip out. if it's still a bit harsh going up there you might like to try using a little lubrication on your rectum and rub it on the tip of the syringe for more comfort and ease when entering and exiting.

Pulled the tip off of a 1cc insulin syringe and it was much better than the 1cc oral syringe I have. I did not think the tips came off that easily hence why I cut and sanded one. There is still a bit left over but less than the oral syringe. To answer your question I try to add about .60-.80cc's of water in order to dilute the leftover solution as much as possible. I'm assuming that's not too much water.

Thanks so much for the tip was very helpful! :)
