I signed up a whiiiile ago, and have been an occasional lurker. Mid 30's woman in the (fucking freezing) Midwest. I decided it was time to finally post because I took my last dose of Zubsolv a week ago today, and I think I am finally free of opiates after 8+ long years. I had to share this with people who would understand how rough it's been. I'm really proud of myself! (I'm still wondering if I'm really out of the woods, or if I'm in for some PAWS kicking in soon.)
I am, however, still a raging alcoholic. We'll save that one for another day. Besides alcohol, despite my extensive history with heroin and stimulants, my one true drug love is and always has been hallucinogenics/psychedelics. I'm also a fan of music, art, and video games, which have occupied a lot of my time since I extracted myself from my old circle a few years ago to get off the dope. So here's hoping I will actually hang out and post a bit here and stop being such a hermit!
