I take 2 grams of APAP (tylenol) in one go every second day. I have been doing this for the past 3 weeks (using Percocets). Is this liable to cause liver failure or hepatoxicity?

While 2 grams is above the limit for one dose, I feel as though it's just slighty above the limit, so I thought I may get away with it.

That dose may be fine once in a while, but every second day for prolonged periods of time is certainly not good for you.

Don't be lazy - do a CWE!!
Is three weeks considered a "prolonged" period? I don't have many Percocets, so if I do a cold water extraction on only 4 pills I'm going to lose too much oxy. Do you think I ought to get my liver checked out? I mean, it's only double the recommended dose to be taken at once.

Yeah it's really not that much, I very much doubt that you need to get checked considering 4 grams is the recommended daily limit.

"Prolonged period" was in reference to continual usage over time, not the three weeks that have passed. If you are planning on continuing this for a long period of time, I'd be doing a CWE. It might cost a bit more, but health comes first IMO if at all possible.

Let us just remember that even a low amount of APAP is hepatoxic, and I would not recommend anyone use APAP daily for a prolonged period of time due to the risk of liver damage. Even if it is not daily, dosing a lot of APAP frequently is no good news for your liver. I NEVER use APAP by itself for legit. pain, not just because I don't feel it works well, but because it is quite toxic and quite unhealthy.

Can you link me to sources showing that taking APAP frequently under the daily limit is unhealthy? And "quite toxic" is pretty subjective.

I agree that it's not the best thing to be taking, I don't like it, but most doctors are hesitant to prescribe oxy IR / roxicodone over compounded opioids, under the guise that "the APAP helps relieve pain too".
