Misc tolerance to phenibut's anabolic effects?

ok so i had an ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair surgery done about 3 weeks ago. one of the most painful if not the most painful moments in my life. i didn't really take my hydrocodones much because i'm aware of their detrimental effects on testosterone. but i started dosing phenibut more frequently (3 days on, 3 days off instead of the usual once every 3 days). i had amazing results. i was able to walk normally in 2 weeks after the surgery and my scar is almost invisible, i just have a bruise over the area.

i'm aware that this is due to the growth hormone releasing effects of phenibut (i take 2 grams before bed). i was 211 before the surgery and about 25 percent body fat, now i'm 199 and i haven't checked my bf% but i have a LOT less stomach fat on me and for some reason my calves are SHREDDED and MUSCULAR, even though i've never really worked them out since i started getting serious about powerlifting.

i'm aware of phenibut's addictive properties and tolerance-inducing effects, but my question here is if i were to take it daily from now on and develop a tolerance to it's psychotropic effects, will my body also develop a tolerance to it's growth hormone releasing effects?

also, can i take it for a year or so and taper off of it?

Not really sure about the growth hormone release tolerance, but I can tell you that taking such high doses, even three days off and three days off, for more than a few weeks will really mess with your GABA system.

Doses as low as a gram have caused rebound anxiety the next day, I could not imagine the hell you would have to go through after a year of use, even if you tapered off slowly.

Now that I think about it, I don't see how you wouldn't build a tolerance to the growth hormone releasing effects along with a general tolerance to the drug itself, which is inevitable.

Check out sites like livestrong.com or longecity.org to find more suitable and safer options to phenibut that have similar growth hormone releasing effects.

Phenibut is awesome when used sparingly, but I believe the general consensus is that it should never be used long term.
Some longish term phenibut withdrawal info here;

Hope you heal quickly!
Good luck.
