I did some research and couldn't find a real answer to this question anywhere. Is taking a tolerance break to cigarettes even possible and how long would you need to stop smoking? I am not asking about nicotine in general, but the whole combination of substances in cigarettes that give the smoker that buzz when you start. I'm sure its possible to reduce your tolerance some degree, but im guessing it would creep back up pretty fast. Anyone know from experience?
Im asking because I only smoke cigs socially and for the effect they have on me, which at this point is next to nothing. I have no desire to quit at this point, but I'm sure that I could take a long break if it meant a significant change in tolerance. For reference I have been smoking cigs for 5 months and at my highest I was a pack a day smoker.
