Yeah, sure.

In my perspective one can speak 'bout a difference in style when you prefer using a pipe above rolling papers (or vice versa). Adding substances has nothing to do with a rolling style, it just makes it a totally different experience.

So when you move to a(n imaginary) country where everyone is smoking their joints with a line of coke sticked to the outside of the rolling paper, you're gonna join' in and adapt to that rolling style as well? It's just a style, u know.
 
It's not really the same thing, cannabis has been combined with tobacco for as long as it has been smoked. If you like, rolling pure joints is actually the "different experience".

I'm pretty sure that's incorrect. Haven't got a source to prove my point, but it just seems crazy that the first encounter of human kind with cannabis was a combined drug experience (weed + tobacco). Nah, I don't think so.

I don't doubt that this combination goes back way in to time, but I don't think it's how things started.

Why is that? If you're used to smoke mixed joints, then it will be a different experience, sure. But it simply is illogic that mixing with tobacco is the norm.

And it's not that I think everyone should smoke their weed pure. Hell no, do as you please, I couldn't care less. But at least be honest about it and admit that it is a strange cultural habit to combine it with tobacco. If your intend is getting high then you shouldn't add tobacco to your joint 'cause you'll never get that same high as when you would have smoked it pure. Maybe some have never smoke pure? Well, in that case you just don't know what a real cannabis high feels like. Sure, you can get completely wasted from smoking mixed joints, but it's not really the same thing, it's a completely different feeling. Smoking mixed joints is ideal if your goal is feeling fucked up or escaping reality. Also (and I've allready mentioned this before in another thread) when you smoke in combination with tobacco you'll have a tendancy to gradually increase the amount you smoke as times goes by, while pure smokers are able to get high on increasingly smaller amounts. In a community where mixing with tobacco is the norm it's cool to smoke huge spliffs: an experienced smoker is one who can toke all night long. When pure smoking is the on going standard it will be considered extremely wastefull and pointless to smoke gigantic joints. Experienced blowers can get high on a very small amount. So you could say that smoking with tobacco is just like drinking alcohol: in general it's considered to be cool if you can consume large amounts.

I personally can't imagin smoking weed with tobacco. iv smoked for awhile now, but never have i smoked a cigarette. Marajuana all the way!!
 
Whats with the guys saying tobacco & weed is a whole different experience? get a grip dude, it's tobacco. Smoking weed & tobacco is exactly the same as just weed, except it burns a bit nicer and if its your thing, the taste.

Tell me please, how does tobacco change the experience for you?
 
if to you people smoking weed with tobacco it's a hole 'new experience' thing...
As i only smoke hash i cannot comment on the hole MJ-tobacco thingy

It's hard to say, but trust me - it does. It's like the tobacco gives you an almost instant satisfaction and the pot high mellows it right out several minutes later. Perhaps it's a 'headspin' like effect...

Having smoked for 25+ years with and for 18 months without - I can say this much: the high now creeps up a whole lot more and I don't crave another 'hit'.
 
obviously smoking your joints with tobacco is diff from pure joints because you're smoking two drugs... spliffs tend to hit you in the head right away and then the high comes on, while youre still buzzing off the tobacco, but after a few minutes it's really just a weed high. I've never used rolling tobacco in my spliffs, but I prefer regular joints cause the tobacco fucks with the flavor, I'd rather smoke a stoge before or after the weed, not during.

We have rolling tobacco in the states even American Spirit brand but some brands of rolling tobacco are apparently very cheap and nasty, and most people here just smoke cigarettes and do not roll their own at all.
 
^I know you guys get rolling baccy, but I thought it was rarer than it is here. I mean, me, my girlfriend, my brother, my housemates, most of the people who I know that smoke, smoke rollies.
 
Plenty of tobacco smokers probably regard mixing weed with their baccy as equally unthinkable.
