Together As One @ Los Angeles Sports Arena 12/31/07

I first posted as much info as I could (even before the full line up or website was up) as it came along. The info couldn't have gotten the board much faster...
 
Line ups pretty much determine long distance travel to events. Call me crazy. No hard feelings. I'll just try and guess the best event to go to just because the date and cost is posted.
 
Holy crap! This lineup is fucking amazing! If only I lived closer or had the money to travel... :(
 
Well its 7:39 pm one tuesday and I just got home. Haven't slept, need rest. Will post more after sleep/work...

Uggh...I guess just going for the line up doesn't make you have a good time. I just assumed this was 18 and over at least. All ages? Ouch I guess I have not been to an all age thing in so long that I didn't realize that there would be 12 year olds in their pajamas there, on drugs no less...kinda sad actually. but that was my opinion when I was 19-20 too so I guess it not just cuz i'm old. Slutty jailbait everywhere scared the shit out of me! also when I was in line for a drink some little bastard plowed into me and my GF,everyone in line actually... NOT COOL!! what ever happened to P.L.U.R?

thats the EXACT reason i did not attend together as one.

i went to giant with a 21+ crowd. very relaxed setting with everyone partying HARD an still being MADD respectfull towards everyone.

Bullshit you are gonna let a bunch of fucked up little kids ruin that line-up. If you keep letting these little bitches fuck up your night; the scene will die even faster than it is. you should be grateful that you can still have events of this size. That is if you truly still like the big event atmosphere and vibe. I know that little roll tards that don't care about anything other than getting off for the night, (whether it be on drugs or to "catch a predator" style shagging) is fucking annoying, but you do have to start exploring scenes and sounds for yourself. It would not hurt to maybe get some of your own minors and show them a more responsible way to party. it may catch on it may not. But one thing is always for sure there will always be fucks out there who ruin the fun for everyone in every scene and especially if there is any amount of intoxication present or being celebrated. If you did not enjoy the music that is your fault. You cannot blame the little pre-puber who scuffed your pumas. Shrug it off push them back outta of your way or just take them aside and let them know there is some type of etiquette at these events. if you don't do either, hopefully the second of the two, you have no one to blame but yourself. The flier even says everyone welcome. If you honestly went just enjoy the line up i am sure you know to claim a spot at even the most crowded of places and hold it down for a little while. even if you don't think it will last. when someone crashes your little area you can try to get along like i suggested or tell them to fuck off. scare them away or educate. You might think that the second option is useless, but they might grow up and realize they are wrong in their ways sooner or later. Nobody determines your good time but you. Take control of your scene and situation. Or just stick to the same bar that gets rocked all the time by good talent and then you won't have anything to complain about other than the fact that you would like to go to a new venue sometime. It is all perception and opinion fuck the dumbshit that line up is worth the drama I would say. be lucky you can still get away with shows of this caliber. especially if go for music because I don't think that Giant line up had shit on TAO musically speaking.

Enyay and Acid...

Looks like the moderators took off all that bickering that I found myself in due to boredome. Good move on their part my forum ettiquete has been educated. As much as I would like to educate youngsters on party fouls and such I feel I am outnumbered at events like these. while most were cool at this event, The average age was too low and the wasted youth vibe is too much for me to handle. I don't think I will be attending any all ages events in the future. did I mention that I sat in line for 1.5 hours? I think that kind of started my bad time...as for the line up, I learned that when it comes to dance music, the vibe is more important to me than what djs I like listening at home on iTunes. I didn't even make it to Ferry Corsten:( I will admit I wanna get fucked up as much as the next overgrown child(and I do) I just have to do it with my peers. Lesson learned... I just felt like Iwas being bombarded and pushed around like mad. My dreams and memories of Techno hippies, Club Kids, and other assorted freaks and geeks gave way to much more shallow, copycat kind of thing(with lots of serotonin). To each their own tho' I'm not mad or antyhing, I just know better now.

P.S. Just a thought, I wonder if we put just a fractioin of the energy(and cash) we put into massives, music and hedonism into real social change like ending the war we would have a revolution in a week, just a thought. Fuck it's New Year's Right?

Did anyone else notice that in the main room during the new year countdown the dude kept saying "X minutes to New Year's Eve!" more than once! It already is New Year's Eve dude...not to be stickler but that is all the MC-ing he had to do all night(as far as I know at least) come on now:\
Maybe it is because I MC in a strip club for 8 hours at a time and have no sympathy for such errors
