1)why do people continue to smoke if they have a tolerance? are they just 'chasing' the high? i find myself doing that.. thinking maybe this time i'll get a buzz from it. would smoking two at once give me a buzz? How long does it take of abstaining to get your tolerance way down?

2) which cigarettes are stronger than american spirit menthols? camel wides? or?? i ask around but noone really gives me a good answer.

3) when did lucky strikes start being so hard to find?

1. Because they're addicted, of course. In order for an addict to feel well their body needs to maintain a constant level of nicotine, as soon as this level drops their body sends them the message that something is wrong, and this manifests itself as a craving for a cigarette. Your tolerance will only drop if you take a break. That's why the first one of the day is the best, because you've taken an overnight tolerance break.

2. Anything unfiltered. You could also try American Spirit organic full flavors, (red and brown box), those are pretty harsh.

3. Can't answer that one. Around here they're not hard to find, they're just too expensive these days.

1. I think I'm way more psychologically addicted to cigarettes than I am physically addicted to them. It's not just that slight sensation I get from the nicotine that causes me to continue smoking. I know this sounds weird, but cigarettes are like my only true friend. It's difficult to describe my relationship with them, but I just feel less lonely when I have them with me. I think most people end up becoming psychologically addicted to them, and the psychological addiction to cigarettes becomes way more powerful than the physical addiction to nicotine.

2. I tried a pack of American Spirit Menthols once and god, were they good. It's really too bad I don't live in the U.S. Anyways, I think D'Jarum Black is the strongest brand. I forget how much tar and nicotine but I think it's like >40mg tar, >2mg nicotine.

3. Not sure because I don't live in the U.S.. Aren't they available online?

1) Nicotine becomes part of you. You ever hear that it's more addictive than heroin? That's correct, IMO (I never got addicted to opiates). However, the withdrawal from opiates is far worse than nicotine. I have the unorthodox opinion that if 3mg syringes of morphine were legal just like cigarettes (packs of 20), more cigarettes would be smoked than syringes of morphine injected throughout most peoples' lives who did both.

2) American Spirit Organic Regulars (Red and tan pack). I believe newports have the highest concentration of regular nicotine while spirit organics have the highest percentage of freebase nicotine. Although newports have the chemicals that change most of the nicotine to freebase when smoked.

3)They're not hard to find in NJ, USA. But then again nothing is.

lucy strike filters are no longer produced or sold in the us, the non-filtered versions are still available, but since not to many people smoke them their a bit harder to find

In my opinion people smoke because they are just addicted to the nicotine.
I don't chase the high i just find it sometimes hard to go without.
I later switched to the e cigs and it has been one of my best choices I've made today.

I find newports pretty heavy for me but that's just " ME" camel non filters will pretty much have ya slippin on a banana peel with one foot in the grave and camel wides are not that bad.

I think i have seen lucky strikes around but not 100% and its rare if I do

^ Are e-cigs really like a real cigarette, i mean pleasure-wise?

I've owned a few different e-cigarettes, and I always end up smoking real cigarettes. In terms of satisfying the need of nicotine, yeah, they do, but I've always cigarettes more enjoyable to smoke. It's the combination of routine, similar flavour and basic pacifier effect that keeps bringing me back.

If two milligrams of nicotine is all those ciggarettes have then i wouldent buy them. I buy Canadian Classics and they have 32 mg per cig. Try it out.

In my experience, I smoke because of the learned behavior. I associate certain behaviors/times with smoking a cigarette. When you've done that multiple times every day for years, if not decades, it's just something you're accustomed to doing.

I smoke about 7 cigarettes a day. And I fucking hate it. The only drug I regret picking up, although at this point in time others have caused more damage. Still... :|

I've tried nicotine replacement without much success, as I don't really care about the nicotine. It's just the ritual, and the "timeout," that smoking provides that keeps me doing it.

Dude, trust me, cigarrettes aren't as addicting as opiates. Quitting smoking is like a walk in the park compared to kicked an opiate addiction. I find cigarettes to be more of a psychological addiction than a physical one. I've been smoking for years and can honestly say i haven't felt any real noticeable withdrawal symptoms after not have a cigarette for a day or so. I might want one really bad and feel a little irritable, but that's pretty much the extent of it. When an opiate addict needs some opiates they feel quite a bit more than a little irritable, not to mention the psychological addiction is much worse.

This is because nicotine doesn't have the same addiction potential as tobacco.

Technically, nicotine is not significantly addictive, as nicotine administered alone does not produce significant reinforcing properties.[41] However, only after coadministration with an MAOI, such as those found in tobacco, nicotine produces significant behavioral sensitization, a measure of addiction potential. This is similar in effect to amphetamine.[42]

Just a little irritable? You are much luckier than most smokers. I have seen people become total monster fiends after going 1 to 2 hours without a cigarette (these people regularly smoke 2+ packs of cigarettes per day).

Sorry for the late response.
Yes they actually feel real holding and smoke wise except without the bad chemicals like tar, rat poison and so on. I'm not implying that pumping nicotine in to your system is a good idea but its indeed, " so far known " safer.

Downfall

Your craving a smoke, your E cig is charging and has no battery.
You can't wait much longer and you give in and smoke a regular cig.

It would be best to buy at purchase a lot of filters though you can have them mailed. I had been offered 150 filters or vaporizers when buying my first.
One battery, and a case and one wall charger. took forever to charge.

I find that the strongest cigarettes are the ones you roll yourself. If you want a -really- strong cigarette get some American Spirit tobacco and some rolling tubes and a cigarette machine. The rolling tubes are about the gauge of a Camel Wide, and American Spirit tobacco is very strong. That outta knock ya on yer ass.

I remember a while back I saw something that showed the tar and nicotine level of several different brands of cigarettes, could try to find something like that online. Not sure if this helps, hope it does.

Well yea... 3mg morphine isn't shit. Most people wouldn't even feel it, even without a tolerance at all.
