Ok this isnt written too well but I was feeling happy and peaceful last night and felt like writing.
I wonder if you'd be surprised
If I told you that
One of my favorite things
In this whole world
Is how every time I see you
We end up with me
Lying on my back
My head in your lap
And you playing with my hair
As we chat
About anything and everything
Light hearted banter
Or heartfelt deep and meaningfuls
It all comes out
While you twist my hair
Into semi-dreads
(which took me forever to get out )
Or plaits
Or just run your fingers through it
And make my head tingle
I left one of those plaits in
For 2 days because
When I played with it
It made me think of you
Coz it made me smile.
When Im with you like that
It makes me feel safe
And warm and at-home
Like nothing could go wrong
And nothing ever does
When Im with you.
