Hey...everybody...

I used to take 1mg of Klonopin 3x per day. Now, I have cut the morning dose to .5mg. I still take the other 1 mgs at two other times during the day. I also take 3mg of Abilify in the morning and 200 mg of Sertraline at night. Over the past few days, I have cut out caffeine and ice cream from my diet and plan to keep it that way. I have been trying to eat better, too. Currently, I am 5' 8" and 220 pounds and I'm a female. I started walking yesterday and will do so with and without my husband after work on most days. That's my plan. I'd like to work my way up to jogging and get some cardio exercise into my regime. I sleep pretty well. Based on that information, my question is: Why am I tired, especially in the morning? I deal with anxiety and some depression and know that can make you tired. Also, what can I do to make myself more awake? Thanks.

Junie

Feeling tired for a couple weeks after stopping caffeine is something you should expect. I'm also very tired unless I drink some coffee. Wait a couple weeks and you should start feeling better.
You can also try taking 1.5 mg of klonopin before bed, and none in the morning

Thanks for your post and advice, flyhighk. Do you know why it takes a couple of weeks after stopping caffeine to stop feeling tired? Well, regarding the Klonopin, I was originally prescribed to take it spaced throughout the day. And why, in general, when you've given up caffeine, do you feel tired?

Caffeine is a stimulant. With regular use, tolerance builds up. So when you stop, you will experience withdrawals. Fatigue is a symptom of caffeine withdrawals.
If you stop taking klonopin for example, you will inevitably experience anxiety and insomnia.
Withdrawals will slowly subside, that's why it takes some time to start feeling normal again.
