Hey what's up guys?

So I'm wondering if anyone has any tips to minimize the extreme itchiness causes by smack and/or percoset/other opiates its enough to drive a man mad!!2

A few things I've found ti help a lot are as follows.

-taking a shower before dosing, if I don't the itching will guaranteed be three times as bad then if I don't

-wearing somewhat Baggy loose fitting clothing.. preferably shorts, I find gym shorts and a large/XL sized shirt. Tight fittings jeans/other clothing make things

-andI finally washing my feet and making sure they're nice and fresh.. I lived in my car for 4 months about a year ago is when I finally got back into am actual house... but i got athletes foot when homeless and it still can become itchy without drugs even, I work 10those hour shifts at work and when I get home have ti rip my socks off they're so itchy at that point... I mean they don't look bad u can't even tell just from looking and I've been using tinactin spray as well as lotrim cream.. both are a huge help but still haven't hgotten rid of it entirely despite twice daily use

Sorry for the rant about feet I guess its neither here nor there, just looming for what you guys do to manage uncomfortability.. thanks in advance for any replies

You should run a search, there is loads of information on this.

Anti-histamines are what you want. I prefer Diphenhydramine, 75-150mg, taken before or simultaneously with the opiate. Another option is promethazine, which depending on the opiate your taking, can increase/decrease your level of intoxication. My favorite, non OTC antihistamine is Hydroxyzine.

If you wait til you're itchy to medicate, you're going to be itchy no matter what. Anti-histamines are to be used as a preventative measure, they are not as effective dealing with itching after the symptom is already present.

I also like to use topical DPH in problem areas: My nose, my balls, my neck, and my chest.

Diphen is great when taken with opiates. Helps the nod and the itching.

Hydroxyzine (atarax) is a prescribed anti-histamine and my overall favorite for itching and potentiation.

Alright, I think this has been answered, so I'm going to close it. Like the above user's said, taking anti-histamine's will help, as the itchyness is caused by histamine...
