Swim was asking me and I have no idea but know about this site to ask a timeline question. He was using h in large amounts and this past week went into a detox facility. He went on Monday last dosed at 5 am. By 9am Tuesday, the facility had him take 20mg's of methadone as part of their comfortable detox. He said he didn't notice many symptoms of wd after the dose. The next day they gave him 15mg's (Wednesday), 10mg's (Thursday), and 5mg's (Friday). I was able to pick him up from the facility Friday afternoon as they said he was done his detox program. He came out a little beat up but said the detox went off quite comfortably and never actually noticed wd symptoms (hurray for the detox facility to do what they advertised they do with a comfortable safe detox). So my question is this, it is now 12 noon on Saturday and he says he feels anxious and has suboxone to start a short maintenance program so as to not relapse. He says that if he tries to induct into subs too early can go into pwd. Since he has already detoxed, obviously isn't gonna have many symptoms to verify the cows worksheet. He just feels to use the sub to keep from relapse. Everything I've read says to take quite a long time after methadone to take a sub. He only used that methadone, a total of 50mgs over a 4 day period with a fast ween schedule of 20,15,10,5 then off. It's been 27 hrs since that last dose of 5mgs yesterday. Doesn't appear to be in any state of wd but is acting all antsy and high anxiety and wants an answer fast whether or not that he will go into pwd if he takes the sub. Thanx all I told him to just go do something since he already detoxed and is clean, but he insists on these damn subs saying that he'll feel better and won't go see his "dude". Help me with a quick answer as to when he can take this sub before he leaves my house plz.
 
I would wait at least 48 hours before his last methadone dose. 5mg is not much at all so he may be okay. I would still wait to be safe. Cheers!
 
Thank you. And I think you are correct. After reading many many posts/threads he decided to try a small amount to see what happened. So he took 2mg suboxone and waited a bit to see what happened. So far he said is not feeling better. Appears more shaky and he says he's got the chills but that's it. So...waiting another 12 hrs to try another 2mg dose. He says he still ok and can handle the reaction. Not going to cop or something stupid like that but wants to wAit another 12hrs and try it again to see what happens. I will post results. At 9 it will be 36hrs. Since its able to be handled we will post results for others to see and hopefully understand. Information studied gets the best understandings so others won't dive in blind and hit pwd.
 
Luckily the pwd from 2mgs of suboxone doesn't last too long. Over now. About 3 hrs of light pwd. Waiting for 9am tomorrow to try another 2mgs of sub. That will be the 48hr mark from last dose of methadone. Was going to try at 9pm but that would only make 36hrs and don't see any sense in waisting another 2 of sub only to precipitate wd's for another 3hrs! Lol. Will post back what happens at that point. My man is really wanting for that warm blanket of suboxone relief, and once inducted, can go straight to finding his ceiling for perfect comfort and then finally get on with his life.
 
Just trying some math on the methadone half life. Correct me if I'm wrong plz. Not very confident in my #'s. So Tuesday =20mgs of methadone. That means 24hrs later 10mg's were still in his system. Then he took 15mgs on Wednesday. So levels are now at 25mgs. Thursday levels were at 12.5mgs and he took 10mgs more = 22.5mgs. Friday at 11.25mgs in system took 5mgs more = 16.25mgs. Last dose so at the 24hr mark levels were at 8.125mgs. And no dose so at the 48hr still has 4.062mgs. And that's the point where he's going to try sub again. Im almost thinking he should wait til the 72hr mark where 2.some small integer of meth left in system.
 
Peak power of sub is equal to 30mgs of meth. You'd think it would overcome at the 24hr mark with levels of only 8mgs of meth in system but he proved that theory very wrong lol.
 
haha - just give it a little bit of time!!
I know the feeling of just wanting to get a substance in us - it's mental!!
Just give it another 12 hours at LEAST before dosing a suboxone again.
