Learn from the past you've been told to resent
The future holds the key to who you want to be
Transform yourself and you'll be surprised what you'll see
A new person born within and a soul that still grows
You cant be high and mighty forever and you cant dwell on your lows
Its all a pattern of understanding how and why
And forget those times you were more afraid to live than die
No one can show you the path you must want to be the best you
Advice will help but only you see all the rights and wrongs you do
As we get older we understand more and more
There's no need to keep questioning what this life is for
If you dont cry you can never truly smile
If you never try to love you'll be lonely all the while
Sometimes you know you just cant handle where you are
One day you'll look back and be thankful you survived that scar
Without your friends you will trip and fall
They'll catch you and heal the pain of it all
Never say no one understands because we all have our dark hour
Its all in how you react and how you discover your inner power
Down the road the past, present, future will all make sense
It's worth it because every laugh and tear is so intense
For what its worth, live as if each day may be your last
but look forward to tomorrow and learn from your past.
