Okay so here's my story,
For the past 6 months I've travelled down the dark road that is opiate use. For the first couple of months it was just once a week, half an 80mg Oxy. Then for the next couple of months, I bumped it up to 2-3 times a week usage, full 80's. And now the last 2 months, I've been using both dope and roxies 5 times a week, taking a 1 day break here and there.
My friends have come to me and told me that it's time to choose to either stop using and become their friend again, or say goodbye to them and dig myself deeper than I already have. So, I'm obviously going to help myself and choose my friends. Now I wanted to know what kind of withdrawals I should be expecting.. It's my second day clean and I'm a little uneasy, but it's nothing I can't deal with. I would say I've been an "addict" for the past month and a half, using quite a bit, but I've heard stories from people that have used for like 5 years and suffered terrible withdrawals. So I want to know what I'm in for here. I'm trying to quit cold turkey, and I can't tell my parents about my addiction, because my brother went through the same thing less than a year ago. They think I'm the "good one"... Little do they know, right?
Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated.. I would really like to taper myself off with like, a 30mg roxy a day for a couple days, then half of that, then nothing. Let me know what you all think, thanks.
