Time to grow - best strains

aLright, im going to attempt to grow some good bud this summer. I just want to grow some good ass bud for my own consumption.

I'm not looking to grow a whole ton of plants, just two or three good hearty plants that I grow indoors hydroponically. I am working on getting the equipment soon and I'm planning on starting possibly from seeds, or if I can get some clones which is likely then I will start from clones. I have a bro who will give me some clones.

Now this is my educated question. What should I grow that will give me the best yield, yet also be somewhat easier to grow since I'm a first time grower. I'm planning on buying a good book off amazon to grow this too.

I was originally thinking that I would like to grow White widow from what I hear about the high content of THC - almost 25-30 %. That sound pretty good to me. But what are the best strains of bud for growing indoors that I may grow either from seed. I want a high yield and a high THC content.

$$$ not really an issue although I'm not planning a full scale grow room in this scenario. Its mostly just 3 or 4 plants. So I need some advice and some guidance from master growers and people who care about this shit.

Pick something easier to grow, White Widow can be a little finicky I've found. I'd go with something like Power Plant, easiest plant I ever grew.
 
Do you have a time frame? I recommend Big Bud, Bubbleberry, Hash Plant, or California Indica for some good first-time hydros that are really easy to grow.

Not really, I plan on growing this summer and into the school year. I was also wondering the best place to get seeds or whatever from. Like a reputable online source.
 
Northern Lights hands down. The variation doesn't matter and # NL is good. It has a good yield, it does well in hydro, the THC is very high, it is damn near impossible to kill, it (generally) has very low odor.. there are no down sides. If you want seeds go to Attitude Seeds. Try to stay away from G13 Labs & Nirvana seeds... if money is not an issue, then Sensi Seeds is the best way to go, but there are other breeders that are just as good.

Northern Lights and AK47 were some of the ones
recommended by High Times for beginner indoor
growers.

You might also want to look into something like
Alaskan Thunderfuck (though I'm not sure about
the number of the yield, but its THC content is

do urself a favor & go with 9-10 plants, same work basically u'd do for 4. White widow is great, ima fan of Landrace sativas. East Coast Sour Diesel if you can track down clones of a legit representation its a priceless smoke.

@ Blowmonkey - Yeah, I do need to pick something easier to grow as its my first time. I read alot so I'm pretty knowledgeable and I learn alot when reading. Maybe for my first grow white widow wouldn't be my choice. I've just heard alot of stuff about white widow being the best weed ever because of its high THC content and damn I want that THC in my lungs so bad right now.

@ omik - as I said not really but I have to go move back to school because I live on campus. I plan on driving back to keep up with my plants and maybe have a friend look after them when I'm gone, and yes I trust my friend so no worries there.

@ harley89 - I'll check out white russian. Have you actually smoked white russian? Sounds like some good shit if its very potent. That's what I'm going for... potency my friend. I'm really considering Northern Lights

What do you mean when you say the variation doesn't matter and the # NL is good? Just didn't catch that, sorry. I'm planning on doing hydro growing for sure. I want this to be all indoors. Yeah I'm going to spend some money on this beacuse i'm selling my motorcycle so i'll have a good amount of cash on hand just to use on growing this shit. But yeah I'm going to keep in touch with you and Northern Lights sounds like what I want to grow now after what you are tellin me here.

@ Arobskittle - what can he do if I live in the USofA if I even do? Yeah wonder why he asked that.

@ jorder1010 - will check out AK47. It appears that there are quite a few good hearty kinds that are easy for beginners to grow. BTW is High Times an internet magazine or an actual magazine you receive in the mail? I've heard of it but never actually seen it. I will probably find out if I google it though.

@ FrotyMcFailure - I'll do myself that favor, sounds like 9 or 10 plants would be a good yield too and I could store this stuff for awhile because i don't even smoke everyday and not even more than 3 times a week because now I'm having to buy shit and its eating up money like there's no tomorrow. I just like the idea of having stuff to smoke and having a steady supply. I agree maybe after I grow something like Northern Lights or Ak47 I'll try out some white widow to see if that works out for me just to give myself a challenge. I'm sure i'll have enough challenge growing this easy to grow stuff but it'll be good experience anyways. yeah I see myself growing from seed at the moment because I don't know what my buddy has growing, Actually i dont think he's growing now. He had some plants but im not sure what kind they were.

@ pillpoppingAnimal - I've heard lil wayne say he was a pill poppin animal, loll. But on a serious note I'm 100% going to go through with this because I don't want to keep buying this stuff although i would buy once in awhile to get a different experience. I haven't found anyone that has white widow which I would jump at the chance to buy. My dealer sold me some really good shit the other week and I smoked it with this chic who said she got so fuuuuuucked up and I did too just sharing ONE J so it was some fine ass bud for what I got it for. If i still had it i would take a pic of it and post it in the appropriate forum

I'll go through with this and absolutely update with pictures and my failures and successes. I need to start getting this stuff together soon. I'm also growing shrooms as well so its going to be a fun summer along with all the other shit I plan on doing. Dont plan on working though.
