As I walk thru this storm

My life is the ball on the roulette wheel
My emotions are numbered around
And the wheel can spin
And I roll back and forth
But numbers are my only ground

One of these days I'll grow muscle
where nothing existed before
and one of these days I will go thru the roof
if I ever get up off the floor

I can't believe how true this line is. I think about this all the time.

I love this poem and the way it just raises so many of the issues that run through my mind so damn often. I guess its like a summary of the dilemmas so many go through in terms of personality and strength.
