The Bluelight team of individuals who oversees the Trip Reports board (which includes moderators, senior moderators, and the specific administrators) have all agreed there needs to be more moderating work done within TR and a more active, motivated campaign to progress it further each day and to complete certain tasks we have set ourselves up to do for months now.
For the most part, TR runs smoothly and the required moderation is being done, but a couple of us have acknowledged that simply 'remaining stable' is not good enough. There needs to be more activity.
Therefore, we are looking for not just one, but two individuals, who are active on the TR board, know what it's about and what purpose it's meant to serve, and are willing to put in a few hours a week making this a better and more constantly evolving place for our members to visit.
Duties would include the basic closing of inappropriate threads, editing titles to fit guidelines, and the most important at the moment - helping work on the TR Tagging Directory, which is basically us editing each trip report and adding certain 'tags' at the bottom of each so that they are easily searchable and archivable for future, long-term use.

▪ How long you have been a poster and supporter of the Trip Reports forum.
▪ How often you are online and would be able to help the board out.
▪ Any overall knowledge you may have about what makes a good and suitable trip report.
▪ And of course, info about yourself as a person that you would like us to know (don't be afraid to be casual, friendly, and open!).
We will hold applications open until 2 people are selected for the position. So go ahead and send 'em in if you are interested! Try to be cautious about spelling and grammar - while they are not 'huge' deals, we definitely love to have legible mods on the staff!
