substance: at the time I was told it was acid turned out to be 25-I
dose: 1 tab and a lot of weed
exp level: first psychedelic ever
age: I was 16 and a junior in high school
(backround) before this experience I had been an avid smoker of weed and had more than a couple experiences with oxycodone and hydrocodone and a LSA attempt that was only threshold I was also a big fan of Amphetamine.
setting: it was a week before I had the setting right where I knew that my first trip would be perfect and care-free and overall a good time it was at my friends house and I was spending the night on the night before my birthday I acquired the tab from a "trusted" dealer and it was "double dipped"
the trip started at a park where after a long walk from my house to meet up with friends having the thought to be acid in my wallet tucked away nice and neat i was enjoying myself we were just smoking a couple cigarettes and bullshitting when i decided to take it I place the tab under my tongue
0:00 it is undeniably bitter and makes my mouth numbish where ever it touches I assumed at the time that it was the ink on the blotter and just forgot about it letting the tab dissolve under my tongue which took about 30 or so minutes telling my friends that it was dissolved (they were worried I was going to freak out) they said nice man and we continued to talk about seemingly useless stuff mostly consisting of school other friends .etc this is when I started to get a bit anxious and wanted to go for a walk so we did while walking the slightest difference was felt I didn't feel like I was tripping but that I was just on a different field then everyone else and everything felt odd....
we arrived at my friends house it is probably 0:50-1:00 after I took the tab and I wasn't sure if it had started or not so feeling kind of hungry I asked my friend for a pop-tart and we sat outside to smoke a cigarette and I start to eat the pop-tart and I notice the pop-tart is "thicker" like it some how grew so I asked my friend "hey, did you get the thicker pop-tarts" he responded with "they make thicker ones?" thats when it hit me at
approx 1:30 I started laughing coming to the realization that I'm just tripping and once I realize that my body just starts vibrating like crazy almost like a weed body buzz but less heavy and more electric the biggest smile appears on my face that won't seem to go away this is when my friend's brother in law comes out with his pipe packed to the brim the smile on my face grows even wider (my friend told me to tell his brother in law that I took shrooms not acid don't ask why because I'm not sure) he shouted "marco" and I almost right after him said "polo" and he passed the pipe to me so I took a hit and held it in for about 3 seconds give or take and the trip begins to intensify and feeling stoned after that one hit (which was weird for me because I smoked everyday) it's getting windy outside so we decide to head back in and smoke some more we head
up-stairs to my friend's room and I almost run to the chair in the center because its the most comfortable chair in the room and I plop myself down in it and immediately lean back in it stretching out and cracking my neck then I look at my friend who is putting on some music while my other friend is laying on the bed playing on his phone so I take out my phone and it feels so alien and I thought to myself why do we even need phones so I put it down on a desk near by and forgot about it and we all starting chatting having a good time when his sister walks in ( she knows I'm on acid) and she decides to talk to me so i converse back with her for a couple of minutes then I leave the room to go talk to his step-brother who is playing Leauge of Legends ( I play to) and me and him talk about it for awhile realizing I've been gone for awhile I start heading back to my friends room and see they packed another bowl so I sit down and join them in the session we smoked a couple bowls and I noticed something about his fan it looked weird I cannot explain it but it felt like it was shaded in better at this point his mom comes in the room (she smokes but didn't know I was on acid) so we all just talk to her for a little bit while she joins in also having a fantastic time only about
2:00 in his mom leaves to go the store thats when his sister and his brother in law came in with a cigarillo they ask if we want to join and we just laugh and say of course ( like what kind of question is that ) so we smoke that blunt and start playing the card game "bullshit" which at the time I thought I'd have some sort of advantage over everyone because I was on acid so I could see the future better and or guess better turns out...... I did pretty bad at first I kept forgetting the rules of the game and kept having to have someone reiterate them to me a couple of times before i understood and even then I'd stare at the cards so long that I'd forget it was my turn so we play cards for what seemed like hours which who knows maybe it was who's keeping count? I was having way to good of a time to be bothered by the notion of time after the card game is over we head down for some munchies we made hot dogs and snickers shakes (which is the best thing I've ever tasted to this day) then we head back upstairs my other friend decides he has to do some homework which is fine by me and fine by the other friend to so he does it but to his surprise he fell asleep instead so me and my friend start playing SPARTACUS:legends and I'm normally horrid at games like this but I was doing amazing every other match was a flawless match we played this game for HOURS until I came down so we decided to smoke more weed and that brought me right back up which I was excited about but this resurgence was short lived and lasted about an hour if that and then came back the very gradual comedown it was pleasant and left me feeling at peace so the experience started from 5PM-4AM when I felt it was right to go to sleep I woke up the next morning at 6AM feeling calm and relaxed.
a couple months later I was browsing through erowid and came upon the acid vault having read it countless times I neglected to ever see the note right underneath the first page saying that 25I-nbome has been sold as "acid" since 2013 (documented in) and it is signified as being bitter and makes your tongue numb I looked at the screen in almost shock not because I was mad or anything but rather disappointed that it was not real genuine acid however I'm not shocked now it was still a good time and I got my goal accomplished for that night take my first psychedelic
The one downside from this not being acid is the fact that 25-I isn't as profound as acid ( so I've read) but on the plus side it is more kind to the ego than others
(interesting note) my friends who also thought they took acid i asked if it made their tongue numb and they said yes so maybe it's just my town
