when i'm on adderall i always seem to be thinking extremely well. like last time i ate some addys i was thinking about my life, i realized i need to treat my parents better, i could be trying harder at school, etc. like beneficial thoughts.


and i always hear xanax doesn't give much of a high. but when i'm on it, i feel very heavy if i'm sitting down. and it just feels kinda like slow motion. and when i get up my legs feel like noodles sometimes. i guess that's considered a body high. and i hear other people say there isn't any real euphoria, but the fact that theres no worries in the world seems kind of like euphoria


just curious if anyone else can relate

yea man, i feel exactly the same about these two drugs.

Amphetamies are an amazing motivational tool. I remember when I started taking dextroamphetamine all of a sudden i wanted to become more active in my community, petition to change laws, start a chapter for Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) at my campus, etc. This manic phase is temporary and it will eventually fade. In my eyes, this motivation is from the euphoria. I just feel so good about life, I want to be more involved in it.

I'm also scripted xanax due to anxiety and ur right, alot of people will say there is not euphoria. I think it is 'euphoric' though, for the same reason that u said. going from worrying about something to the point where it is debilitating and keeping me from doing anything or thinking about anything to being calm/tranquil/at peace is a sense of well being.

Anxiety not only mentally fucks me up, but when its real bad i start getting fucked up physically. I could start pacing and squeeze me hands real hard while closing my eyes, to hyperventilating myself into a full blown panic attack.

Yeah it think most people would agree benzos dont give a "high" as such but are still enjoyable due to their numbing qualities.

I've just been scripted dexamphet but I dont like taking them at work because unless i take a reasonable amount they dont last long enough, in which case I cant relax and sleep afterwards without smoking a bunch of weed/drinking which I dont want to do daily. I think I will tell the phsych this, if anything he will script clonidine which I have never tried before. Do a lot of people take downers and stimulant medications together? ( I mean therapeutically on a daily basis)

Yes, I have always had problems sleeping and was diagnosed with insomnia even before I was scripted an amphetamine for ADD. I've recommended my PCP to prescribe various things such as ambien, which usually works, but i still wake up in the middle of the night. That's why im posting this at 3:20am on Christmas morning..(though secretly I bet its because I'm too excited to find out what I got under the Christmas tree )..ha

I've gone in there and recommended that I try clonidine, mirtazapine, but none of them really worked due to their prolonged effects, mainly the drowsiness carrying onto the following day. Thinking about trying low dose seroquel like 50mg or gabapentin to help with my anxiety and sleep..

I've also tried trazadone, all OTC antihistamines, hydroxyzine, but having found the magic bullet yet. keep looking and best of luck. Let me know if u find anything that works for you.

I use xanax when I can't find opiates. It stops the RLS and keeps me from being an intolerable whiney bitch. Which you could IV. Snortins good enough I guess.

I don't like speed much cause I have racing thoughts to begin with, but I could see the two being good together. When I drink coffee I feel more fucked up than on coke (high coke tolerance maybe?) A football or two would be great at that point.

Adderall for me doesn't really do much of anything, unless I take a whole shit load but then my heart usually feels like it's gonna explode out of my chest.
Methamphetamine is more of an actual amphetamine high that you can't really get on adderall no matter how much you take. Adderall makes me focused and want to do something, meth makes me want to jump out of my body and do everything at once.

Adderall is an OK amphetamine at doses around 90-150mg. Doses below 60mg don't really do much other than help me concentrate and stay focused. If your into methamphetamine at the moment your not going to get much out of Adderall or Dexedrine.

Xanax is good when your having an anxiety attack but it won't get you high really, just shortly sedated, drowsiness. It only lasts like 3 hours so you have to redose so often. Like 4 times a day. Klonopin you can get better anxiety relief taking it only once or twice a day.

i can relate to Adderall not doing much of anything unless in high doses, but thats only if i have been bingeing on it the past couple days. if i dont do any for a couple days and then pop some, ill usually always feel the speeding high. also depends on if its actual Adderall or if its something like Amphetamine Salts. nothings better than the REAL thing for me though.

Xanax always gives me a somewhat high feeling, if i take enough. two or three .5mg xanies does it usually. ESPECIALLY poppin like 2 1/2 .5mg's with a 40 oz of beer. id feel somewhat "euphoric" and just chill. but ive also gotten kinda stupid on em twice in which i would feel like nothing could cause me enough pain to feel discomfort. so id take a lit cigarette to my ankle and burn myself until it really hurt or someone stopped me. got two circle shaped scars to prove that.

also on xanax i sometimes get depressed once it wears off and a bit impulsive on bad things. but never usually happens. so i still do it. but i would NOT mix Adderall and Xanax with each other without a couple hours between. one is an upper which makes you happy and energetic, and the other is a downer which makes you feel just chill and relaxed. taking two pills that do the opposite of one an other can result in major freak out mode for the brain and heart, and nervous system.

you could always try it and see what happens and gain experience. or stay away from mixing the two and keep on the safe side. if i ever have questions like this ill always ask people i know would know for sure.

it is quite alright to mix the two. but typically people save xanax for the comedown
