Hence why I love meeting new people so much, not only can you make really good friends or handy connections, but you get to see the world from so many different perspectives. Sure some of them may be really warped or just plain stupid, but it's exciting.

There will always be new-skool & old-skool generations of people . . . in fact i went to my first rave with people who had been doing 'it' for a few years before that, and i remember them saying to me how 'it' wasn't the same anymore, and me not understanding, i felt i'd found the most amazing thing in the world, and i also didn't understand why they didn't take pills anymore either . . . ?!

it was just naivity i guess. And i don't think there is anything wrong with naivity, everybody has to learn on their own, and they will eventually.
But it's actually not newbies who piss me off, it's people who go to events with an attitude i don't like (ie. to get trashed/don't give a fuck about the music), and events (for me) are shit when there are a lot of these certain people at them. I've found now, that going to certain 'types' of events as opposed to other types (ie. extremely over promoted ones), there are less of those people there . . . for me, an ideal event is one where the dj has a loyal and faithful following and that is essentially the reason why they are there, not because it's the latest delirium event

oh and i respect that other people have different reasons/motivations for going to events, i would just rather be at an event with people who have similar reasons/motivations for being there as me.
