those old television shows you used to love

^^ I loved all of those Disney cartoons they used to play at 4pm on weekday arvos when I came back from school and on Saturday morning Disney (P.S that was when a bag of chips with chicken salt used to cost a $1.20)

Tailspin, Duck Tales, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers etc..

OMG... two votes for Pugwall!

I was in that show... I was one of the bad kids :D

It was filmed at my school when I was in year 8. We spent the first half of the year having lessons between takes. Met the first Lucy from Neighbours then... man she was a bitch! Also became friends with Rebekah Elmaloglou - she was so hot back then.

Oh yeah, my votes - G-Force, Battle of the Planets, the original Transformers, Monkey Magic, Airwolf, Simon & Simon, A Team.

I didn't realize you guys had a lot of the same shows we have here in the United States. I checked out this thread just out of curiosity....

Does anybody remeber that pommy art show on the ABC called Art Attack?
This guy had a set with over sized art stuff and made heaps of cool art things.

Its still on hey .. well i think it is. If its not it rocked .. and its on foxtel or something. It was always on around the same time as t-bag hehe.

Go ABC ... Little Britain, The Office, The movie show, The spy show. I think i watch abc more than anything these days. Well no ... coz they have all finished. So i watch very little.

That's right, I loved YOung Talent Time. Me and my sisters used to tape the episodes religously and now have a huge catalogue! Even sadder than that......occasionally we have 'young talent time days' when we watch old episodes and drink hideous amounts of champagne!! It is so much fun =D

PS R.I.P. Juanita!

when i was a kid on abc they had an animated show with a red ball of clay and a blue one! loved that shit.
and a guy drawn in white pencil usually on a blue background talking gibberish. any ideas if these have a name???
i hope i havent made that second one up in my head, my memory's shit these days.

I know what you are talking about, not sure if it had a name......I remember the one though...This girl (of whom you would only see the hand of and hear gigles from) would draw this guy in white pencil...and he would walk across the line and sing 'badoom badoom" then he would get really shitty when the line ended and he had no where to go...and would yell abuse to no one in particular, except you couldn't understand what he was saying because it wasn't in English. Funny as hell though!

Ha anyone mentioned Gilligans island?? I loved that show and watched it religiously!!

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip, That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the Skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour. A three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost. The Minnow would be lost. The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
with Gilligan, the Skipper too, the Millionaire
and his wife, the movie star, the Professor
and Mary Ann, here on Gilligan's Isle.

Now this is the tale of the castways, they're here for a long, long time, they'll have to make the best of things, it's an uphill climb. The first mate and the Skipper too, will do their very best, to make the others comfortable, in the tropic island nest. No phone, no lights no motor cars, not a single luxury, like Robinson Crusoe, as primative as can be. So join us here each week my freinds, you're sure to get a smile, from seven stranded castways, here on "Gilligan's Isle."

Other shows I was a fan of:
Sesame Street!
Tea bag - another fan here, I remember watching this on school holidays and when home sick!!
The Benny Hill Show
Mother and Son
George and Mildred
Alf

Fast forward
The Comedy Company
Young talent time

Full house-biggest fan!
The Wonder Years

Nightstalker (the inspiration for X-files)
Soap
Homocide: Life on the Streets
Northern Exposure
News Radio
Twilight Zone

Trap Door

Trap Door is a children's claymation-style animated series, shown in the United Kingdom in the mid-1980s. It was created by Terry Brain and Charlie Mills.

The main character, Berk (a short blue creature), his pet spider Drutt, and his friend Boni (a talking skull), live in a castle in "the dark and nasty regions", where Berk serves The Thing Upstairs (who never leaves his room, and is consequently never seen, although his bellowing voice is frequently heard). In addition, Berk must guard the trapdoor in the floor of the servants' quarters, which leads to dark and mysterious caverns from which, in almost every episode, something will emerge... Though mostly hostile or mischievous -- on one occasion an invisible and troublesome creature named "Bubo" -- occasionally a helpful or friendly creature did emerge. The large red creature named Rog was one example.

The series ran for two seasons and numbered 40 episodes. Each episode was around five minutes long. All the character voices were provided by Willie Rushton.

Although selected episodes of the series were available on various videotapes in the UK at various times, only a rare double videocassette released in Canada at one point actually contained every single episode. It was not until 2005 that all the episodes were finally made available on DVD in the UK.

The television series spawned a video game in the mid-80s called The Trap Door and a sequel called Through The Trap Door. These games (available for the ZX Spectrum, the Amstrad CPC and the Commodore 64) probably introduced nearly as many people to the quirky blue creature as the series did. They can now be played on a modern computer system using various emulators.

Did anyone else watch Ghostwriter?

Where some kids solved mysteries with the help of a ghost who would rearrange the letters in their notepad to indicate who the culprit was?

And I know it's been mentioned lately but <3 It's a Knockout (samadhi- so jealous of that tshirt)
