It's funny. Everytime I come here, I hope to find something that speaks to me, and
yet hope not to, for I fear that we are all alike in our individuality. I want to be
different and special, you know? It perturbs me that so many others are struggling the same struggles and thinking the same thoughts.
But then something fabulous is written that, more or less, speaks directly to me, and
makes me realize strangers are more alike than they know, and the person next to
you on the city bus is probably thinking somewhat like you.
Thank you for sharing, everyone. It's comforting to know that others have the same issues as the rest of us, and I find myself constantly coming back and finding lyrics, signatures, thoughts, phrases, poems and prose that reach out and grab my heart. These works give me hope, make me feel pitiful, mourn for what I have lost, or give me a thrill. I wonder where your inspiration is drawn from, and realize most of the time it is from within, prompted by something outside and then shared with us all.
These pieces you all bang out on your keyboards are having a more powerful effect than you know, and you all have guts for opening yourselves up. The feeling of relief you may get from writing is just as wonderful as the person who may be reading your work, and gets a comfort from knowing someone else has gone through the same thing and is living to tell the tale.
So, My God, you talented bards, write on. And I thank you...for your support for eachother and for your ability to share.
