Things to do while waiting in lines for raves?

Haha, last weekend, I experienced the most traumatizing line experience ever. Waiting in line for an hour with a short strapless dress on in 25 degree weather. I'm SO glad I wasn't rolling. To answer your question, I just talk to people in line.

Buy an old blanket from one of the charity shops (or a cheap new one) - wrap yourself and a few of your friends up in it when in line and then just leave it outside.

You'll often see somebody from the line run over and pick it up and use it until they get in :D

Make your self useful. Help direct people in the line, make sure everyone has their ticket, offer to wipe a passing cab's windscreen, break up fights or play match maker to a random couple.

If anyone did that to me I would crack them over the head with my fist.

Wow, talk about the wrong mindset for a rave... 8o
Why the aggression? If someone is trying to give you a light show or talk to you, why would you want to break their face? Fair enough a massage might be a bit much if you're sober, and maybe a little on the homophobic side, but I would never go further than telling someone I'm not interested or to just chill!
We all go out to have a good time right? Fights are for idiots on alcohol, or when someone gives you a very good reason to be pissed off ;)

Two words.

Hacky.

Sack.

:)

There ended up being some great ideas in this thread, but these two are my favorite. My first rave I ever went to, I bought a cheap sweatshirt knowing I probably wouldn't leave with it, and ended up giving it to some random girl who looked cold. I'm planning on doing the same thing again this time.

Also....

Let me clarify that this isn't a festival or concert. It's just an after hours club that has a terrible entry line system. It opens at 3, but last time, we got there at 230 and we didn't get inside till just before 4 . After the club ends at 7 we head home to just chill(we have a buddy who doesn't roll that drives us back).

Again, for the sake of this thread, here's what will be in my pockets for new years:

-6 ring pops(I usually eat 2 and give the other 4 away to the coolest new people I meet)
-burt's bees chapstick
-2 Vicks Inhalers
-Hacky Sack
-2 packs of 5 gum
-Marlboro Menthol 100s
-2 lighters
-10 Kandi singles to give away(I don't really wear Kandi, I just trade them for the experience)

I'll also be bringing:
-Box of blowpops
-Orange Juice(I do it for the vitamin properties, and not to roll harder)
-Random blanket/sweatshirt that I won't bring into the club
-Sunglasses or something else to hide my face(I'm a college baseball player so I can't afford to have my face pop up on a random website).
-Super soft beanie with earflaps(my favorite one when it's 32* outside)
-Phone-I usually get everyone's number I meet, or add them on facebook so I don't forget them
-Money for $9 waters lol

LOL, Most probably will think I'll be wearing phat pants to fit all this stuff, but usually over half of it's gone within the first 5 minutes of standing in line.

Thanks for all the good responses so far, and keep them coming. Also know that I have bluelight permanently bookmarked on my phone, and I've been lucky enough to show to about 8-10 people about it.

The lines are probably not always going to be that long. If you hate lines, then get there earlier. Play a game on your cell phone or just face the wall and jack off or something. Most people just stand there or chat.

has anyone said "freeze your balls off" yet?

*also, adjust the stash you got on your nuts... seriously how lame is it you have to sneak in: chapstick, gum, opened packs of cigs, lighter, glowsticks, glow-toys...

Oh believe me, this will never happen again. I've never had a problem with pre-sales with this particular promotions company. Next time, I will be prepared.

I've never stood in a line for a rave so idk u could wait like everyone else???

LOL when it's 40* outside and you're wearing jeans and a t-shirt, it gets cold after about 5 minutes. Last time we got there pretty early and still had to wait in line over an hour.

Here's my stash for New Years. I'm all ears if I forgot anything:
