Things that make you happy

Getting outside in nature is always nice. Or just getting active in any way, really.

I learned how to play Disc Golf a little more than 5 years ago, and is a perfect reason to get out of the house. I don't have to pay to use the course here in my town, some places do charge.

Boston sports teams winning. This was a great day for Boston sports fans, the Bruins won to go up 2-0 in the playoff series with the Flyers, the Celtics won to tie up the playoff series with the Cavs 1-1, and the Red Sox managed 17 runs en route to a victory against the LA Angels.

AWESOME! Ti parli Italiano? I took four years of Italian in high school and speak it pretty well. I'm 3/4 Italian and 1/4 German, so I also took a semester of German. Learning new languages is pretty awesome.

Ich kenne Deutsch aber ich studiere Spanisch jetzt. :)

Cool thread idea. I know the things that make me happy. It is the happiness around me. The way my kid looks at me when I show one of my daughters that she is important just because she is herself. Things that make me happy are the little things that most people take for granted. The ones that are always there, no matter how they are judged make me happy. It is the "real maccoy" that can see the good in the bad because of experience and empathy. Take the hurt and loss and make it a strength instead of weakness by just being there to see you through day after day until you are strong again. Sometimes I am to scared of the world, or but then I wonder is the world scare of me....I am still here. No matter what life's attempts to use to take me out. That is what makes me happy. I am still fucking here.

listening to music
reading a good book or play
my boyfriend telling me he misses me... or that i am beautiful and brilliant... or calling me period
my dad telling me that he still believes i can stay sober and that he thinks i was unfairly discharged

It's odd how different genre of music can put me in different moods. Like right now I'm listening to a club beat, and I haven't been clubbing in years, but it wants me to go and pop a roll, and I haven't rolled in years. Though, I don't think I can roll with the antidepressants, not because of toxicity, but because the antidepressants won't allow me to.

^^ Yeah it's not worth it man. Talking from experience. You'll get absolutely NO effect whatsoever, and moreso than that, it's dangerous.

Not to mention the serotonin depletion.. That can't be good for someone on ssri's. I knew a dude who was on paroxetine who would still be rolling.. He would pop like 4 strong pills and get all weird. It was definitely different from proper rolling though. It looked like he only got the stupid and stimulating effect, which he really liked, he was the type of guy that would pop pills all weekend and stay awake for three days. For me, that shit stops being fun at about eight hours.

edit: this dude didn't end up too well. Prison / Half-way houses / Psychosis etc., etc., and this is Holland they don't just send you to prison for anything!

Quindi... complimenti!

Capito?
