Walk on water - or is that mud?
Move fast and then it's not so hard,

Never let momentum drop.
(Fight it when you want to stop)
Sinking, falling, drowning now
Run like only you know how.

Not that it all matters much,
There's still time to self-destruct.

Thinking, feeling, looking back,
When and where did we lose track
Of what we could (should?) have been together?
But I dont like that word - 'Forever'.

Longing for forbidden touch-
There's still time to self destruct.

Push it all away from me
Here and now is all I see
Dodging, weaving, fearing thoughts,
Pain cant catch me til I'm caught.

Lately not been feeling much
There's still time to self destruct.

Nail my sins up on the cross.
There's still time to self destruct.

Here's to love, and lovers loss.
There's still time to self-destruct.

Lately not been feeling much
(Don't worry)
There's still time to self destruct.

wow indeed,

i loved how the rhyming and repetition of "there's still time to self destruct" suggests the ticking of a clock, reinforcing the theme of time...

the last four couplets strike you right in the heart.

brilliant work
