Heart beating
Mind melting
Love
Falling Being
Thee into Thee
The yellow moon shone as I wondered why we get so much joy from being dead.
In the distance, a wolf howled with an infinetly mad hunger. (I could almost taste it myself.) In the moon's shadow, I could glimpse a death hawk effortlessly float through the air.
I felt cold.
Fearing for my companion, I picked up my lavender cat. Holding her close to my chest, I could feel the rapid pulsating of her heart. I gently stroked her hair for comfort and love... for hers or my own I knew not.
Up ahead, barely visible to me, stood three short men, wearing grey business attire. They stood three paces apart, with the one in the middle edged slightly ahead. Even in the moon's dim light, I knew their skin was not pale. It was a yellow-grey shade of lifelessness. They watched me as I watched them. neither moving.
I became delightfully frightened. I did not know who they were, and yet they had always been in my life, and even before that. I started to move towards them.
My companion leapt from my grasp so that she could stroll casually beside me.
They remained motionless... their eyes protraying no emotion, as if the lack of emotion was in itself an emotion... oh, those eyes... such an endless blackness... I fear if I look into them long enough I shall fall into a nameless void that would feel like endless ecstasy.
Within a few short breaths, I stood an arm's length away from the middle one. Far behind them and to the left, I saw a small campfire burning with a crimson green flame, with four ancient naked tribal men performing a magik ceremony. The moon smiled its approval.
The middle gentleman reached into an inner pocket of his suit and brought forth a small book. He held it out in front of me... an offer.
I reached forward and took ahold of the book, looking him in the eye. For that brief moment, the total essence of infinety glowed from within and all around.
I thought I had died.
I gazed upon the book I now held. It was bound in a green-grey black leather covering. I opened it to the first page. As I looked upon it, I could hear the seductive music written on its stained blank pages.
When I looked back up, the three men were gone. The distant flame burned a holy white-blue. My companion moved towards the fire. I held the book against my side as I approached it.
Each of the tribal men had lost langauges of symbols painted into their skin. They were playing on wooden flutes and drums, chanting... the melody... a choatic collection of dreamfull notes weaving in and out of each other in a rhythmic flow of a lazy summer river...
I reached into my backpack and pulled out a small wooden table. I placed the book on the table, set my pack on the ground, and removed my clothing. My companion stood back and laid down. She was quite happy and content. So was I.
The gentle warmth from the fire felt like a sweet orgasm. As it was, so as it is.
I walked into, inside of, the fire... as my body faded away from me......
....those eyes.........
...... as it was, was it as......
flicker of light trick of sight endless night
