The Validity of Erowid or bluelight's drug test FAQ

The last few times I asked a question similar to this on the board people came up with the dumbest responses so please, im not looking for that...
OK. So I was wondering which piece of information is correct? On erowid it says heroin leaves your sytem in 1-4 days in urine tests. however, bluelight's FAQ on drug tests says it leaves your system in 8 hours. thats a big difference.
So which is the right amount of time?
And another question....if lets say you shoot 2 bags at once does that have anything to do with how much longer it stays in your system? (or how many times you do it in a period of time?)

its more like 1 to 3 from what i have read.. but if i were u i would wait the 1-4 days just to be safe.. u could also drink lots of water...and do that for like 1-2 days .. that might work depending on ur body fat .. etc..

She has no body fat and weighs practically nothing. She got all excited cuz she gained the 'Freshmen 15' and she eats ice cream every meal.
But our main concern is about the 8 hours vs. 1-3 days thing... This is a huge difference and we'd rather not validate the information by failing a piss test.

i say its at least 2-3 days for ANYTHING to metabolize out of your system to the point you couldnt be caught for it on a drug test. the 8hrs thing could be just for when heroin itself is detectable, but that information is pretty irrelevant because drug test scan for metabolites instead of the drug itself.
basically all you can do to prepare for a drug test is eat a bunch and work out every day (to keep your metabolism up), then drink lots of water and take a diarhetic before you go to get pissed.

I've passed a drug test taking heroin about 29 hours before my test.
However I did not have any heroin in my system prior to that and I only used about 50mgs.
I've heard other stories of people using heroin within about 24 hours of a drug test and passing. Then again I've also heard of people testing positive 48-72 hours after use.
There's probably a lot of factors. To be safe, allow a good 2-3 days, do cardio exercise, drink a lot of water, don't eat much, etc. To be safest, JUST DON'T USE HEROIN AND THEN YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TRYING TO BEAT A TEST. Nobody has to get high that bad.
And if the drug tests are going to be periodic, then you'd be really stupid to take a physically addictive drug. Perhaps you're not addicted now, but if you enjoy it, you may start taking it regularly. If you take it regularly, you stand a pretty good chance of becoming addicted and requiring it. Just not a good idea. It's really annoying carting someone elses urine to rehab, not to mention a chore to get clean urine. And since it's cold out now, you don't have the benefit of the summer sun warming your car to leave your urine in for a few hours to warm to body temperature.

I know I dont "have" to do drugs but I like them and I would like to be able to use them responsibly...I've gone through my hardcore addiction to opiates a couple times so yes i do know what im getting myself into. but i also have strong will power and thats why ive only been doing this stuff like once a week. Believe me, i do NOT want to become addicted to heroin again. Honestly, it would get WAY to fuckin damn expensive with my tolerence these days....but back to the point..i know exactly what day and what time i get tested every week.
But now a message to the moderators...

Now I'm not saying the information is wrong...but what backs it up. What source does this person use to give us bluelighters this very important information?......cause I always tought that 8 hours for heroin to leave ur system was a bit off. .....not baggin, just want to know the source

how about someone just fucking try it. shit, the cheap tests don't cost that much, donate your money for BL research - and you get an excuse to buy your heroin! Can't beat a justified 'scientific' study to use heroin!

It's definitely NOT 8 hours, it's 1-3 days. You're in college so you should have access to PubMed, just look it up there if you still can't believe it won't leave your system after 8 hours. If you're only doing it once a week, then why are you stressing, it shouldn't be that hard for you to abstain a little longer…

it is UPTO 3 days for H. Personaly, I have only tested positive upto 2 days after but with other longer acting opiates (Physeptone) its been 5 days.

First, remember that for drug testing any quantitative period of time is only a guideline. There are no absolute truths because our bodies are different.
To answer your question, Erowid states 1-4 days. That is said right here:

That site says 1-2 days for heroin:

Cutoff and Detection Post Dose
The detection limit of the initial screen is 300 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 20 ng/ml. This is sufficient to detect heroin use for approximately 24-48 hours post dose and codeine for somewhat longer. Positives are confirmed on GC/MS at a cutoff level of 300 ng/ml.
Then, in a different FAQ that I did about MDMA drug testing, I came across this figure:

That table says 2-3 days for opiates.
Okay, so what do we have here? Erowid says 1-4 days for heroin, one company that manufactures NIDA-5 drug tests says 1-2 days for heroin and another company that manufactures NIDA-5 drug tests says 2-3 days for opiates. I think it means that the answer is something like 1-3 days. I like a decent error margin, so if I did heroin I would be waiting at least 4 days before I went near a NIDA-5 urine test.
Therefore, "8 hours" is not an appropriate piece of information to have in a Bluelight FAQ. It will be replaced. Right now there are people reviewing the FAQs and any specific information without citations will be removed. I have already found a few other problems with our existing FAQs. This is not to insult the people that wrote them, but Bluelight should make it clear what is known and what is merely an estimate.
