Seems like there is no thread discussing the base tryptamine Mipt (n-methyl-n-isopropyltryptamine), so i made one.

It doesn't seem to be super popular, but I wanted a place for people to discuss.

I haven't personally tried it yet but I will soon and I'll report back. Til then, I'd love to hear any other experiences or thoughts on the substance.

I like MiPT. A lot of people seem to have a hard time getting much out of it but it gives me a good trip. It can be kind of hit or miss though. My best experience by far was on 50 mg oral.

My only complaint about MiPT is that it seems to be slightly nauseating for me in a way that other base tryptamines aren’t. It’s not the purging nausea and doesn’t go anywhere and resolve itself, it’s just more of a generalized feeling that stays with me during the trip. It wasn’t uncomfortable lying in bed and smoking cannabis on 50 mg though. But it did present itself for me even with smoking MiPT which I found a little annoying.

The thing I liked the most about MiPT was that of all the base tryptamines that remind me of DMT the most, it reminded me of DMT the least. Most base tryptamines that remind me of DMT are almost like DMT in a different flavor. MiPT felt like more of its own thing but still resembled DMT in significant ways.

It’s not the most remarkable substance of all time. But I would say it actually felt like one of the most spiritually alive psychedelics I’ve taken. Sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly. It’s the kind of drug where you might get operated on if you open yourself up enough to it. Probably not if your sensitivity is like most people’s though.

I like it because it has an ornateness and opacity reminiscent of phenethylamines while still looking like a hyperspatial spaceship like DMT. I never went anywhere in it though, they just came to me. One time I saw my heart made of literal clockwork while on it.

But I’d be remiss to not mention that I’ve had people describe it to me as basically a body high. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Looking forward to your report!

Weird my last post didn't show up.

what can i expect regarding duration for oral and smoking?

I've done Miprocin which rocked my world it was like a bomb went off with a massive delay compared or something like LSD much more expensive than mushrooms because I got rocked snorting it shattered my spirit into a pure empathetic awareness it was pure awareness lifted far above by a great spirit or universal intelligence I felt the beyond opening up healing of course I had to flee into a beautiful forest it was magic

I would definitely try this but lysergics are on my digital shopping list once I can afford such wayward expenses lol like I spend good anyways swamped in psilocybin and some kind DMT subbed tryptamine maybe aco get them local so lost ouch with any other trypts lately

Just to be clear 4-HO-MIPT and MIPT are different compounds. I've tried Miprocin before and really enjoyed it.

what can i expect regarding duration for oral and smoking?

For me, most base tryptamines taken orally seem to last longer than their corresponding 4-substituted tryptamines overall, but they peak faster and for a shorter amount of time. With MiPT, I recall that I would be peaking within forty-five minutes to an hour after dosing, and the peak would be over within about an hour and a half to two hours. However, the feelings and occasional bursts of visual activity and such would linger much more mildly for basically the rest of the day, particularly when smoking cannabis. It's really not like the peak, but it was enough to make me feel like my entire day was much better and more interesting.

I find that many base tryptamines, including MiPT, have a powerful rapid antidepressant effect for me that produces a phenomenon that I've heard others describe about mescaline, although I (sadly) still haven't tried mescaline myself yet so I can't speak to that directly, but I can make the comparison from what I've heard at least. Basically, it's the kind of thing where the antidepressant effect feels like part of the high at first, but instead of going away when the high ends, it just sort of integrates into your normal state of mind afterward, in a way making it feel like the high never really ended, and you just become permanently happier afterward (until you stop noticing and life drags you down again, at least). Like I definitely still felt a bit hypomanic a week after my best MiPT trip, and would get tiny little flashback-type rushes and stuff when cracking my back and stuff like that.

MiPT, again like most base tryptamines for me, seems to only last a bit longer than smoked DMT when smoked. Like I would say most of them keep me up for around 20-30 minutes, and I don't think I tracked it that closely with MiPT, but I remember thinking it seemed similar. Luckily, the rapid antidepressant effects do occur for me when smoking them too, and just that 20-30 minutes of peaking is still followed by feeling great for the rest of the day for me. I usually prefer smoking base tryptamines in the morning for this reason, so that the entire day is just noticeably better after that.

I would probably plan to not have any responsibilities for at least a couple hours after smoking it though. The peak is so much stronger than the lingering effects that sometimes I feel like I've only got the antidepressant glow left, just to realize I really am still kind of on something and a bit more inhibited than I thought. That probably doesn't last more than like another hour or so post-peak though usually, maybe an hour and a half if you tripped really hard (which is not super likely with MiPT I think, but definitely possible).

I've tried it
  • orally (nice)
  • rectally (nice)
  • insufflated (just don't)
  • vaporized (stoning)
I enjoyed it a lot when I first got it, but I quickly lost interest in it. It's like a psychedelic seasoning for me. Salt is wonderful, but I don't really want to eat just salt. Rectally was preferable to oral (even at 40-50mg oral iirc.) Oral becomes clear and stimulating and pleasant, but never very trippy for me at those dosages. Rectal feels more pronounced, maybe because of the reduced time to peak, creating a clearer demarcation from sobriety.

I've enjoyed mixing it with 5-MeO-MipT, where it fleshes out 5-MeO-MiPT's thinness. It does make it feel more like a psychedelic, though, and less as just a delightful recreational thing.

Last weekend, I combined 10mg of N,N-MPT with 50mg of N,N-EPT rectally, and it was a more rich and fulsome experience than either would have been on its own. They blended seamlessly and side effects were not increased. Other than some generic tryptamine murk and cloudiness invading at points, there were no real downsides. That could have been the N,N-MiPT, as that base can cause generic stoning for me instead of psychedelia sometimes for unknown reasons.
