If you want these silly flame wars between two established, diverse boards to continue then don't post a topic called "The Shroomery vs. Bluelight"
There is no rivalry, we all have the same aim spending time on these boards: to learn, and to help others learn.
If you live in a country where there are drug laws, you know that the information we receive is bastardized. We are lucky we receive any of this information at all...
Fortunately we have some smart/experienced people on this board to help guide us through the shit.
So does the Shroomery.
When the smart ones get caught up cursing at each other silently and wasting this board's space, it doesn't piss me off because people are being stupid... it's just a waste of time, and space.
I'd rather read about PhreeX mainlining DOM (!) than murple trying to comfort the shroomers over at the shroomery by criticizing the site "management..."
I guess there's not all the freedom we'd like here, but I've never noticed a post of mine being edited, and the responses I've gotten here have often given me new ideas or new avenues of information to explore... so fuck the "drug" wars, we've already got enough of that.
Long live Bluelight and the Shroomery.

i was noticing alot of MDMA related topics floating around the Shroomery...so naturally i directed them to Bluelight since Bluelight is geared towards Ecstasy related topics [as i would direct anybody else towards the Shroomery for shroom related topics]...what followed is self evident...i wasn't intending for any animosity to arise nor am i looking to instigate anything...rather i am trying let all of you know what everyone else thinks of us...and perhaps we can make the appropriate changes...

Good Corruption does have a good point. I have been spending less and less time at the shroomery over the past year do to the fact that half the threads seem to turn into a flame war of some sort. Its just a different place from what it use to be.

Yea you did nothing wrong, its just there are too many pieces of shit around on both boreds, enough to have the members of one criticize the other for stupid posts and ignorant crap, noone cares but the fucks who are so into it that they think this is a gang and we have to show up the other gangs.

The topic starter must of put a lot of thought into this one, lets make a thread so we can start a feud between two drug related message boards.
Whoever made this topic needs to think before they create such stupid threads, the shroomery is a great message board I have been there for a couple years now and they dont deserve to be cussed on by some little punks.
As for bluelight, I just signed up so I cant really say much about it..message boards are for educating the uninformed, not for immaturity.
Take your hatred on the shroomery somewhere else, dont compare it with bluelight, and dont talk shit about it either.

Seriously though, the shroomery did go through some tough times on the BB, we had some troll wars and it got ugly. But since we moved to the new software things have gotten WAY better. The vast majority of posts are not flame wars, people just notice the negetive always before the good... We do like to stop and look at car wrecks don't we

What especially is important to note is that Off-topic used to be the busiest forum, now Mushroom Cultivation and Other Drugs are the busiest forums. I think thats a sign of progress!
Anyways, I don't care about what people may think of the shroomery too much, I just want people to understand its goal is to stop the dangerous mis-information out there, and the Shroomery has been doing this for almost 4 years.
No bulletin board will ever be perfect, they all have their good and bad....

My opinions on the shroomery - IT ROCKS! I have been a long time lurker, but never posted as I really didn't feel the need...
There is a fair amount of hostility between Murple and myself - he was banned from these forums some time ago, and in retrospect, it was the wrong thing to do - at the time, he was simply comming off as to abrasive and intollerant - I *DID* agree with most everything he said, at the time though, he just came off a little to harsh - I would love to see his return, but am not holding my breath... I certinly have nothing against him now that things have "cooled off" ... hey, I have been denounced before, so I am not going to try and convince anyone I have done ANYTHING I ever made claims of doing.. I might be a 13 y/o on my dads computer...

What ever happened to the battle between bl and gurn? That one was much cooler 'cause we could exploit cultural/nationality differences.
I love ecstasy the best, but mushrooms are like an old and trusted friend to me. So, I guess it would be best to keep my head down for this turmoil. But, I will say this--having been a lurker since shortly after bluelight started--they are making some good points about us over there, and maybe it's time bl trimmed the fat a bit.
In the years I've been here I have seen alot of people with good honest questions get flamed for asking just because we've all heard it a million times before. And, I've seen alot of examples of moderators more interested in flexing nuts than doing the jobs they must've agreed to do.
When BL2.0 (whatever the fuck that even is) finaly comes out, I'd strongly urge Jase to consider making a few revisions in the management as well.
And as for thor's comment about an I.Q. prerequisite for membership on either board (and I am perfectly aware he said this in jest) I think that he (and the bl staff, respectively) should remember that they're running a fucking DRUG MESSAGE BOARD not a MENSA community calendar.
