I have never really wrote any poems b4 but here goes:
The search is over:
As I grow up I am compelled to search
To search
To search
To search
For the one for me
One that lifts me up
One that fills me up
One that gives me light in the dark
One that holds me tight when I’m weary
One that I can trust
One that I can count on
One that I can believe in
One that I can live with
The road is long and has many destinations
The road is filled with billboards of temptations
The road has holes which are not present until walked upon
The holes of bad experiences that slow me down
The holes of misconceptions and bad ideas
Some do not escape these holes as I have seen
The road has become nothing but a memory to these
Living in a world of short sighted minds
I see what lies in the divine
People will claw at me and try to keep me down
The grip of love will try to tempt me to indulge
The truth that fills me today
I want to fly and live in the spirit of free
I have found myself in you and you in me
I am lifted when you are inside me
You fill me up when I feel empty
You are the light in a dark world
Your presence grips me tight when falling
The message you send is sincere
You are always there
My belief in you has given me true life
I’ll live long and in constant wonder of the beautiful things you have in store
I love you Lord for you are me and I am you and together we are we and are one as a part of an
Everlasting spirit full of infinite life and love of all as one
