This article in the ACSM's Health and Fitness Journal caused a lot of hoopla when it was featured in the New York Times:

That's not surprising: it's a very simple protocol, and the authors claim impressive potential results. I'm gonna give it a try for the next couple of weeks. Has anyone heard any more about it beyond the initial posting? Have people tried it?

That's interesting, I have seen some 10-15 min workouts which included some of the exercises in here. Let me know if this works for you as I would also like to try this out.

Just finished day 1. That was hard, but doable... wait a second...

Exercises are performed for 30 seconds, with 10 seconds of transition time between bouts. Total time for the entire circuit workout is approximately 7 minutes. The circuit can be repeated 2 to 3 times.

See, there's always a catch. Week 1 I'll be doing 1 round, subsequent weeks 2 rounds. Might as well give myself a week to adjust. :p

The paper provides no scheduling recommendations, so I'll be doing 2 on, 1 off unless there's a problem.

I would still try to do some weight lifting exercises. I did mostly body weight exercises for a long time but never got anywhere near the increases in strength I got from just one or two weight lifting sessions a week. That said, there are some pretty cool body weight exercises not in that guide. My favorite body weight exercise is the Hindu pushup.
