The school crotch investigation

the only reason behind otc meds like that being controlled in school is that they dont want a kid to have an allergic reaction to them. thats why teachers/school nurses cant give asprins or other otc stuff without a parent's permission.

but in this case, what happened to that girl was completely wrong. for a while, students in grade school have slowly lost all of their liberties, i forgot the court case's name, but in the 80s, it was ruled that a public school can violate a student's right to free speech.

the girl who was caught with the pills should have had her parents called to see if it was ok for her to be taking those, and she should have been let off with a warning, basically telling her to have a note next time. school is supposed to be preparing children for a career, and i havent heard a career where taking a non mind altering otc analgesic is grounds for termination.

there's a fine line between protecting the kids, and invading their privacy, we crossed that line long ago.

Remember guys, these are prescription strength Ibuprofen! FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND MICROGRAMS!! As if the Advil packs don't recommend 1-2 for adults and children over 12 or 13 or something. :\

Its bullshit, call the cops if you have a big deal and maybe a little more evidence.

OH NO! think of all the OD's that would occur if they got the prescription 800 mg ibuprofens. THINK OF THE CHILDREN! LOL!
