I just recently started blogging for http://www.thatspoppycock.com and would like to share my stories with everyone. I add a new entry a few times a week. The direct link to the blog is as follows:

Please let me know what you think! Also, a close friend of mine, who used to be a heroin addict, is starting a blog as well. It will be up sometime tonight. Hopefully this will help someone or entertain. Adios.

Had a quick look at your site/blog... looks good... clever title, and nice design too. I look forward to reading more. You're linking two of my pet topics: drug abuse and Buddhist philosophy. There's a growing body of research into meditation and mindfulness as therapies for treating drug addictions and related behaviours. You might like to look into that if you haven't already. :)

I've been looking for something that links the two together -- mindfulness and drug addiction -- but have been unsuccessful. Thanks for taking the time to read! I hope you found it at the least somewhat interesting. I'm going to be releasing PART II of III of "Love, Death, and Rebirth" (Diary of a Heroin Addict) tomorrow, so come back and check for that. I'll also be throwing in PART II of my personal experience with detox in the psych ward of a hospital. It's entitled "Merry Christmas, Please Kill Me Now!"

Wordy, do you write yourself? If you do, I'd be happy to publish -- this includes poetry!

I just wanted to bump this post up! I just added a new blog today, and completely changed the layout. I now use WordPress, which is a better-looking and more professional layout. It gives readers the ability to comment on posts... which if you read it... please say something! I'd love to hear what people think.

I just wanted to give an update, and talk about a few things I've written about in the past month or so. I started a new blog category called "Lessons from the Past" in which I have typed up old journal entries I wrote during my active addiction to opiates, and commented on them. I also have a few articles on the reality of Suboxone, both good and bad aspects of using buprenorphine replacement therapy. I wrote that specific blog because I was constantly hearing praise and horror stories about Suboxone, but nothing in between. I set the record straight with that blog. Then, there is another article in which I talk about how I talked a friend out of getting high called, The Path of Least Destruction. I hope my words benefit someone out there. Until next time...

You write well. I enjoyed reading your thoughts on Suboxone. I'm certainly no expert on the topic, but you seem to know your stuff (and personal experience counts for a lot!).

This is my blog, if you're interested (almost exclusively poetry and poetry-related, although drug use is a recurring topic in my work):

At one stage I was considering moving over to WordPress, although since Google took over Blogger the customisation and editing features have definitely improved.
