The revival of rock and the decline of the rave scene?

I have found that recently the rock scene is making a bit of a comeback, i like metal/rock and have friends in both circles ... Electronica and also rock scenes. I have noticed a decline in the quality of raves these days , But maybe its just a bad patch for the rave scene, but nothing is more enjoyable for me than electronica music.. But there seems to be a rivalry between the rock and rave scene , a particular ignorance by alot of people towards the other scene. But thats just from my experiences

somewhat related, sydneys best (imo) small venue bar broadway has been shutdown for atleast a month.

this sucks
