The Psychoactive Substances Act - Update: Illegals R Us

Yeah I told the knee surgeon to fuck off one week later do you have some sort of problem that prevents you from reading posts and comprehending them. Such as "I was coughing up blood and vomit for days" "They had me fasted from Wednesday even though the nurses knew the knee surgeon wouldn't be in until Friday"

I have an idea, have a friend waterboard you with your hands free (you'd be in less danger than me since I had to be treated for a chest infection after due to aspirated vomit) and you will claw punch and fight your way out of it.
When you know your life is in danger you don't wait to think "Oh hey, instead of punching the doctor pinning me down, I'd better just drown in my own fucking vomit instead" you fight for your life blindly. And no, I have no remorse, as I asked for an antiemetic; denied, I asked them to tilt the spinal board, denied, it was only when I was choking on my own vomit did I attempt to preserve my own life

In that hospital the treatment was terrible, nurses ignoring a girl crying for a nurse for 10 minutes until I dragged myself into a wheelchair and wheeled up to the nursing station, where I could her her (and the other person who had joined in) perfectly fine. But they were busy having a tea break. All that happened was basically a look of "oh fuck now we're going to have to do our job" then I get berated for being out of the bed. That's just one instance of their incompetence. Multiple complaints from others have been made and people over here avoid it like the plague.

But as I said, have a friend waterboard you with your hands free but your body pinned and I can say without a doubt you will hit him or her as self preservation > societal norms.

Sorry man, people are ripping into me for no apparent reason; such as people who don't know the difference between sociopathy and narcissism but will use it in a sentence anyway. I'm a bit on guard. Deepest apologies mate.

Sorry for the bad treatment you received mate. I obviously cant speak for anyone else but I've been on the receiving end of physical abuse from patients (albeit mainly people who were mentally disturbed and/or drunk) and it doesn't really endear them to anyone.
Emergency care on the streets is different to that in a hospital though and anyone punching me would be reported to the police. I don't get paid enough to be anyone's punchbag
 
Precisely, I'd never assault a doctor, even if drunk.
However when one holds you down and you're essentially drowning in your own vomit all logical thought is bypassed and it comes down to "I need to get this person off me or I'll die"
Not to mention I'd asked for something for nausea about twenty minutes/half an hour/an hour (it's all a blur) ago, they refused to give it to me.
Giving someone an antiemetic after they've been sick is like locking the stable doors after the horse has bolted.
 
No that's fair enough if you thought you were actually going to drown. I just mean that doctors, nurses, paramedics don't really take kindly to being hit.

I can empathise somewhat to being given shoddy care in a hospital but I think labeling all medical staff as shit is going too far (I'm not saying you're doing that but some do).

The unfortunate thing is no-one ever remembers or comments on the good care they receive only the bad. That's not excusing your bad care though.

I would very much recommend documenting everything and making a formal complaint either to the foundation trust to which your hospital belongs (would be written on the sign at the enterance) or to a patient group like PALS (you can get a leaflet from your GPS surgery).
 
Hey Brop, I'd watch out for 'PALS' if I were you, 'Pretentious Advocating Lying Scammers' they watch the hospitals backs for them, the patients can go fuck themselves.

From what I've heard the hospital is great for oncology and great for maternity but sucks as a trauma centre.

And I mean every medical practitioner I came into contact with was incompetent, when I was falling asleep then yelping in pain even though I'd complained of severe pain repeatedly to the nurses and the head nurse. They gave me diclofenac sodium.
When I found out my right leg was X-rayed twice the doctor didn't apologise but just said "a junior radiologist did your X-rays", there goes the bedside manner.
After being moved up to the children's ward and spending another night in agony and not because of me complaining but others complaining that I was moaning, groaning and yelping every time I moved they eventually put me on a diamorphine (Heroin) PCA, 1mg every 5 minutes when I pressed the red button. It was also there that the nurses washed my hair and tended to my facial wounds. I was still pulling bits of dried vomit out of my hair and glass or tarmac out of my face. They were lazy as anything. I remember one tried to force feed me a mouldy looking chicken nugget, I said no thanks (repeatedly until I said "I insist" and the nuse said well "I insist") and she demanded I eat "at least take a bite" one bite later I had projectile vomited all over her. After that the nurses got in the habit of starving me even though I knew I was only supposed to fast the day before a surgery which would have been Thursday as both doctors and the nurses knew the surgeon only visited on Friday.

The Anaesthesiologist was decent and explained the procedure in medical terms as he knew I would understand them.
The knee surgeon however. These guys seem to know of him.
 
I am against the Act it because it is hypocritical given that tobacco and alchohol are psychoactive drugs. However I can see why some intelligent people on here might say "yes, we need saving from ourselves!" because anybody can fall into the trap of overuse and addiction given circumstances at the time. I am quite shocked at the availability of Benzos and wonder what on earth will happen when legal supply lines stop.

My personal opinion is that regulation and education around harm reduction was a progressive route to go. That would never happen under this Government. For instance, with RC's there is a wide range of effects ranging from utter 'emporor's new clothes' to ruined lives, psychosis, etc, etc. When Government kept banning then as most people on here realise the never ending game of cat and mouse to create new highs could end up with the production of shitty compounds at best, to outright dangerous ones at worst.

There is one thing I often find myself disagreeing with and that is the widely held opinion that amongst controlled substances that Cannabis is fairly 'benign'. I think not, mainly because regular intake during adolescent years seems to cause lasting damage and create long standing mental health issues. I say this as a psychotherapist who sees disturbed youngsters and adults that seem to be stuck at the developmental stage they were when the habit took over - no matter if we are years down the line. Presumably because of the neurological affects of substances during a critical time for brain development.

Regarding RC's support workers and drug agencies (mainly geared towards heroin, cocaine and alcohol addiction) sometimes seem largely ignorant of the effects of each class of chemical and lump them all in together. Bluelight should be required reading for them! There's a million miles between, say, 1pLSD and synthetic cannaboids....

All governments think short term though, and they concentrate on the 'vote grabbers' when they can't be that stupid to think that criminalisation and driving stuff underground costs less to society over time than does education, intervention, harm reduction and support.

Wow. EVERY medical professional you encountered was incompetetant. Must be a The Hospital of Horrors. You would think that if these incompetant people were consistently providing poor care there would have been a media outcry considering the sheer numbers of people that get treated in the places. And those bloody nurses daring to have a tea break...that should never be allowed. Nurses should not need breaks like every other human. No further comment on this thread as its turned into a bash the medical profession thread.
 
Well let met put it this way, not _every_ medical professional I encountered was incompetent.
-Doctors and nurses who refuse to listen when I say "I'm going to be sick, give me an antiemetic, please"
-When I am sick they use a terrible suction machine to try and suck the vomit out while I aspirated it, I continued to cough up chunks of vomit and blood. They refused to tilt the spinal board, which; when I got to another hospital and mentioned this to a doctor the first words that came out of their mouth were "those machines aren't made to remove vomit from your mouth at the rate you produce it, why didn't they tilt the board?"
-Radiologists who X-ray the same leg twice then tell your that your broken knee is just strained, they try to make me walk on said broken leg without a crutch or a brace. It was only due to other patients asking nurses "is he all right?" Eventually after my (ignored) complaints of severe pain and other patients asking why every time I fell asleep I woke up practically stifling a yell another radiologist look over my X-rays and basically said "Oh, a junior radiologist took and examaned your X-rays and seems to have done your right leg twice, if you could just come with me (this is after about 16 hours of literally lying in a pool of my own vomit) so I can do your left leg" One hour later "Oh it appears to be broken, we'll move you to a ward by the end of the night and have you cleaned up" (no apology was given)
- Nurse 'washes my hair and tends to the cuts on my face', days later I'm pulling broken windshield glass from my face and head along with solid bits of vomit.
- Because when the nurses decided to take a tea break and ignore another 17 year old who'd just gotten out of surgery and was in severe pain I literally dragged myself out of bed, ten feet across the floor, got into a wheelchair somehow (all the while holding onto my diamorphine pump; the pain managment team were one of the only decent people there, but I would wager they mostly work oncology, which I've already said the hospital is good at) wheeled up to them, could still here the other two shouting "nurse" while they were crowded around a TV watching a rerun of some shit movie eating toast and drinking tea. When I said "people have been calling for you for fifteen minutes" next thing I hear (verbatim, on a children's ward no less with the younger kids in earshot) "why the fuck are you out of your bed! Fine! I'll go see to the person who needs me!" well gee, I don't suppose you're being paid to do exactly that are you? (not said out loud)
- Nurse attempts to feed me a mouldering chicken nugget with a fucking hair on it, says she won't leave until I eat it despite me saying I'll be sick if I do. I eat half (This was on Tuesday) and instantly vomit everywhere. Not like she wasn't warned.
- Despite both me and the nurses being told that the knee surgeon is only in on fridays they now proceed to fast me every day after 5pm, no drinks, no food. (Multiple family members left complaints about the nurses behaviour, including the fact that one stole my mother's work phone and only got found out because someone phoned her when she thought she'd turned it off, it had been missing at least 8 hours (well that's when it was reported to staff). "Oh I was just moving it to lost and found" even though it started ringing from her fucking pocket.
-The Anaesthesiologist was okay and walked me through the anaesthetic procedure knowing that I knew a bit more about medicine.
- The knee 'specialist' (my mother took his name down and despite him saying he was well known in many hospitals by doctors radiologists and knee specialists, both of which we visited, one immediately after I left and one for an MRI had never heard of him) had me prepped for open exploratory knee surgery because their MRI was broken with festering vomit in my hair that visitors all said you could easily smell (who I had to apologise to but despite me saying "could you wash my hair again" they refused and said I was imagining the smell. So yeah, open surgery with vomit in hair; not a huge infection risk at all.
- I managed to get out of the surgery by eating food as my mother had signed off for me as she is much less medically minded.
- After that I demanded to leave, they still held me there for a day, put a new cast on my leg and taught me how to walk in crutches.
Once I got home I showered the vomit out out of my hair and I had to shampoo 3 or four times until my hair and face smelled normal.
- After washing my hair I went to the main hospital for the city expecting to wait for hours. It took them fifteen minutes for them to assign me a doctor and then their resident orthopaedics doctor
- They were extremely confused with the cast on my leg after a quick X-ray and said that if I'd kept this cast on my knee wouldn't have healed, the cast had to be cut off and replaced.
- I was told that surgery shouldn't be needed, that an MRI should be taken first; I was referred to the local ortho hospital for a CT and an MRI
- My mother dropped in a complaint as we left. As I came back to get my prescription my aunt after hearing this from me my mother and my other aunt also asked to make a complaint, apparently she was told "Sure you have a right to complain, but it won't do anything" all I could hear was her yelling at the nurses for their complete incompetence. She lives in England, my mother sustained severe burns (enough for grafts) and after being discharged from the hospital in NI went to England for a week and received care there, apparently it was several orders of magnitude better than here.

That's not all though

-Ex's mother comes off motorbike
-Doctors say it's most likely a dislocated knee
-Don't bother to take an X-ray, just try to shove her knee back into place
-Senior doctor comes in to see what the screaming is all about "Uh we're just fixing a dislocated knee"; "do you have X-rays?" "Um... no..." "Senior doctor goes through them like a hot knife through butter"
-Turns out she had a minor break in her knee, the doctors tore her ACL, PCL and most other ligaments by pulling and pushing
-Hospital covered it up
-Nearly everyone here is advised to avoid said hospital

That about sum it up for you. There was one decent nurse, a male nurse who actually engaged in conversation. I only ran into him once, he worked on the maternity ward.

As for media outcriess, it's usually in the local papers for gross incompetence. Go buy a years supply of the Belfast telegraph.

Look it up in Google news, any article that isn't about them trying to make it better is talking about how shit it is.

I got 5 star treatment at the Royal though. I was essentially in, given an X-ray, correct cast, correct crutches and out within less than four hours.


Anyway, bitching and moaning about me is a great distraction when it comes to the fact that common law is pretty much being abolished as we know it.
Rights now are no longer implied unless prohibited but prohibited unless implied
I wonder how long it is before people with genetic disorders have a legal ban on breeding and 'genetically inferior' males given some sort of temporary vasectomy (a permanent one might annoy the proles) that is periodically renewed and 'genetically inferior' females given the coil.
Probably in a while, but this law is the start of a crossroads.

I've often wondered that about certain people who seem to think it most amusing, big, and clever, to go round verbally abusing random people for no apparent reason. Must be down to too much aggression or a bad case of a chip on the shoulder, im not sure which one. :\

Our rights were implied unless specifically forbidden, this type of law dates back roughly 1000 years and is the base that British common law is built.
On the 26 of may our rights will be forbidden unless specifically implied
While some people might just say "fine, illegal drugs it is then" they fail to understand the scope of this.

What if you were an addict and signed onto a government program, the government deems all addicts as genetically predisposed to addiction, offspring from them are not allowed until they can isolate the 'addict gene' (most likely many genes) and abort any child that is yours until they can isolate and make you go through IVF if you want a child who is 'genetically healthy'
Not to mention the death rate would be much higher than the birth rate if such a law were implemented. The police have already been found to not prosecute British Muslims and Hindus for 'honour killings' as well as gang rape. Go and Google "Christian gang rape" or "atheist gang rape", no doubt you'll be somewhat shocked by the results.
A youtuber (Sargon of Akkad) has actually gone and done statistical rape stats. Want to know where rape is highest? Over Islamist areas. However they hate drugs.

Do you think a parlaiment who will let people die as a result of poor legislation would 'culture' people who hate drugs but also have the ability to 'breed anglo-saxons' out.

And no, I'm not an anglo-saxon, I'm Irish-Danish 3/4-1/4 split respectively so I have no 'personal interest' in this.

Maybe the next time you show up at parlaiment it should be with pitchforks, swords, crossbows, longbows and arrest every MP for a breech of the Magna Carta. If soldiers surround you, fight back if they fire first as right now we are simply one step away from the United Kingdom and Airstrip One

Protesters peacefully carrying a recurve and a crossbow on a sling will much more likely gain attention, if there are hundreds of people doing this. I'd even boat it on over to be part of the march.
