The Psychoactive Substances Act - Update: Illegals R Us

I really don't know why the RC vendors have been so quick to shut up shop. After all, the new legislation only pertains to 'psychoactive' substances - it's not a ban on analogues in general. Now that the MP Crispin Cockjockey has set a precedent by getting the definition of 'psychoactive' adjusted to make his particular sex drug of choice exempt, then surely the sildenafil analogues (which several vendors have been stocking for a while) are similarly exempt? Then what about analogues of steroids? Imagine a whole range of performance enhancing substances for sportsmen that are not currently banned or detectable? They'd make a fuckin killing...
 
Nitrous is still readily available on a popular auction site, which is good to see. I believe nitrous isn't strictly controlled, unless people are buying large amounts, on a regular basis. Can anyone confirm this?

paracetamol and ibuprofen fall under it as they bind to the cannabinoid and opiate receptor.
 
I personally think Paracetamol has more place being banned than most. Plenty of papers suggest its pretty much placebo as a painkiller. I know it has other uses but , its still a big lie, a poisonous one at that..

It's one of the grey areas - Nitros is controlled under the new act, how and when you buy it factors into it though. According the the new laws, if you look like an addict (acne or a rash around your mouth) and you try to buy a large quantity of it then the sale should be restricted. If you try to buy nitros along with a bag of balloons then that is illegal and you will be shot on site.

If you are a regular buyer of nitro and you don't buy it with a bag of balloons a copy of 'Jugs' a cucumber then I think that is OK .

hahaha I gotta chuckle at that. If you look like an addict. Whay if a person suffers acne anyway? I don't agree with this law I think it's daft n all substances should be legak n regulated. That way addicts are more likely to seek support.

Im honestly not bothered about this tbh, the only rcs im likely to reorder are 4-Ho-Met, 5-meo-dmt and possibly some other tryptamines or Phenethylamines. Which you had to go EU anyway... Sure, it pisses me off from a basic human right position, chemical wise, ive not lost anything really.

Definitely no. The act of banning a drug does no good for anyone. I think that even if a drug is highly dangerous, it is up to the individual to decide whether or not to consume it. I also think that a drug being legally available with warning labels on it (if it is dangerous) would be more of a deterrent to use than illegality. I also agree that the more dangerous drugs would be avoided if cannabis and other safer substances were legal.

For sure, I think it should be taken off the market. That's true, it does very little as a painkiller, but it's just so toxic. I mean, it basically is a poison, way more toxic than most drugs. Overdoses that don't even seem that much higher than the recommended dose actually cause the liver to completely shut down! I can hardly even believe the stuff is being sold.
 
Paracetamol may be borderline useless for most things, it may be incredibly dangerous if even slightly misused whether accidentally or deliberately, but it doesn't get you high. As far as government policy goes this makes it possibly the best drug ever invented 8)
 
If you have a sensitive stomach, though, paracetamol is about the only NSAID you can take. Aspirin gives me the boak, really badly. I can just about handle ibuprofen, unless something else is already making me feel a bit nauseous. In which case, welcome to pukesville UK, population Jules .....
