Pussies Russia has this every year, they have to use vodka for anti freeze... as the anti freeze doesn't even work

I dont know how people in such polar countries cope, lots of them dont it seems, the suicide rates are highest in these countries, we had this discussion in another thread. The cold and lack of daylight must be so fucking depressing, really this country is bad enough. Jesus christ id love to live somewhere with a nice climate like the south of france or something, i dunno why i dont just do it, i guess im stuck with my Britishness and i like and understand some of the culture here or something i dunno, and i cant speak french either, apart from about 30 words, id be off like a shot otherwise, the weather here sucks.

In my more paranoid moments i sometimes think the elite must know what's happening, and are maybe letting it happen in order to get a bit of free population reduction in poor countries (the elite'll all be alright in their pods or underground bases); although this may be as paranoid as thinking thousands of climate scientists are all in on some worldwide communist conspiracy...

Bit off topic but I don't buy that population reduction theory. The more people there are the less life is worth and thus you don't have to pay them as much. More people = more profits. The elites like everyone else are aware of what's happening and those who don't have financial interests in oil or any other climate damaging industry will be as worried about it as anyone else I'm sure, those who do will justify it one way or another.

Of course if the world does go completely tits up the rich will have more resources to guard them from it than the average person, but they're still gonna need a lot of people to do their work for them, otherwise how will they maintain their status? The Queen and Prince Philip would have a hard time maintaining Buckingham Palace all by themselves I'm sure
