Beach in Padstow

When I was a child I used go on holiday to Padstow with my mum. It was so long ago that my memories of those times are hazy at best, clouded by years of nostalgia.

This photograph though sparked recognition: as soon as I saw it, I recognised that winding path & the beach that it leads to, & just for a split second I was 5 years old again, running along the sand in my sandals, with my bucket & spade by my side, my mum calling at me to be careful by the waters edge, & a huge smile plastered across my face because every day was an adventure.
