I'm craving hard for another booster jab combo...tried it last night, slept like a baby - that's when you take two different vaxx-strains, duct-tape the syringes together so as to administer both shots simultaneously.

Yes I believe people will attempt anything, dodgy shit is produced daily, worldwide. Someone succeeded in getting plastic rice into the food supply, I must receive at least 3 food recalls a week that are just dodgy work cutting corners, overhead has become unbearable. Our insane answer is always to place more layers of supervision and cost on a flawed system to fix it which results in more creative and often harmful ways of cutting new corners. Once food got smaller, now we must read the label to be sure it is food.

In a world that has become trained to see the coruption that money is breeding you may as well learn how to fold your diploma into a nice paper hat.

As for my own ability to write a dodgy sentence and get it past a reviewer, if you ever need someone to cost justify a new rooftop swimming pool for your office and show it on paper contact me.

I'm unsure of the specific people who grant the Phd title either individually or as a whole entity. In my experience every group of self important well meaning people has a corrupt element that often uses fear as a tactic to control the rest of their tiny executive world. At the end of the day diplomas, certificates, nobel prizes and all the paper is just a sign that a few of the people that have it may have some knowledge and applied themselves in a noticed way. All of them will have an ego, and defend that paper like it was the focus of life itself. They will demand more of the wealth of the world because they are specialized and ignore everyone that makes their food and builds their roads.

Once any group has obtained a media nod to their self importance the shit show begins. With the ability to redefine language and discredit or disassociate any contrary evidence or opinions. Today we have a real virus that is most likely made by a division of a government that didnt know what it's own left hand was busy doing. Now all the various huge egos are telling everyone what to do. We are 2 years in the public concern is waning. Omicron looks as deadly as a ladybug and may be a real ticket out. It doesnt even matter how often we need to catch it IF it provides immunity against the deadly stains and IF it truly isn't deadly.

Viruses still act exactly like a virus from many years ago, before we all moved about it would spread at the pace of walking or wind and vector in very simple directions much like a small insect bite on your arm does. Because we travel like addicts there are far too many vectors to hope to win against. We have several diseases lose in our society but most are slightly easier to spot before they become overwhelming.

I don't know the exact death toll from poverty year to year but all these egos have had a fun time posturing while this number is getting set to sky rocket.

if either of those numbers represent reality, that's a lot of dead people.

are you lumping together everyone under 18? cause it doesn't work like that.

a child that is 11 or 14 might be much less likely to die than a 60 year old with diabeetus, but a newborn infant is much more likely to die than a teenager.

children under five are at a higher risk than teenagers, children under two even more so than that.

and death is not the only thing to worry about, there are consequences we are only beginning to understand (long covid, mis-c).

you might not want to get your kids vaccinated, but it is very clearly not stupid to do so, especially with variants popping up. children do die from covid 19, and even more children are having lasting effects which can cause issues with their development.

and if you're worried about side effects from the vaccine, you should be TEN TIMES more worried about the virus, which has been demonstrated time and time again to be MUCH more dangerous than the vaccines (how many billion shots and counting?)

Cases reported for 5-12 year olds: 1.8M. 8,622 hospitalized, 66% of those had comorbidities, resulting in a total of 143 deaths in 5-12 year olds with and without comorbidities. .0079%. That's close enough for me to consider it "near zero" risk, especially considering those are only reported cases, not actual cases.
