erm, to get basic safety data. short term in an emergency but in better circumstances medium-long term too. i never said it makes us immortal, i said that was as likely as your unspecified negative long term effect.

the vast majority of novel pharmaceuticals are ruled out in early pre clinical trials. having worked in pre clinical trials i can tell you that we cull a lot of animals before the first trial is even ended so they can have died 'expectedly' and we don't have to explain it to the home office who would revoke our license and make things difficult from then on. those trials never even make it to higher ns, let alone humans. even humans with terminal diseases aren't subjected to that shit, because its recognised to be inhumane to rodents. can you please do some basic reading about what happens between a novel pharmaceutical being proposed and it making it to the general public so that we can have a better level of discourse in future?

have any of you considered that covid vaccines might get you high as fuck 24/7 in maybe 5 years? its as biologically likely as whatever shit pepole on youtube/wherever are telling you, but also great. so just go with that and get your fucking vaccines.

Is a long term side effect more likely to be negative or positive ? Or tell me 1 vaccine that has had a positive long term side effect , aside from it doing what it was designed to do obviously

side effects, are generally negative... although euphoria is listed as a side effect on narcotics lol

all vaccines come with the positive long term side effect of keeping you safe from the virus and not dying :)

How about all those vaccines you has as a child? Mumps? Chicken Pox? Tuberculosis? Whooping cough? Polio? Are you talking to your doctor about long term side effects from the several vaccines you definitely have already had? Which were invented 60 years ago with less scientific knowledge?

Did you ask your doc about those? What about the flu vaccine, in which the science changes a few times a years. What about those?

How did those work out for you? Long term? Ever get cancer from your chicken pox vaccine 20 years later? You probably haven't even thought about it... which highlights the hypocrisy.

that depends on the biological mechanism.

tell me your proposed one and i will speculate as to whether it is likely to be positive or negative.

i expected it to be harder than that given the tiny, tiny proportion of people suffering negative long term effects from any vaccine.

also by stipulating that it has to be beyond what its designed to do you are already making it an unfair argument. but because its easily won in either case, i granted you the avantage.

We won't even have pediatric heart data until like 2025 or something, and now we are giving young children those shots, who are at nearly zero risk from Covid. No long term heart data but please give your extremely low risk children shots, doesn't make sense to me from a public health perspective. It does make sense from a financially profitable perspective.

i would like it to be noted that i am now going to bed and have 4 long days at work coming up with long drinking and b/ping in the evenings, but i am excited to hear about the proposals for the biological mechanisms causing long term negative effects so please @ the fuck out of me to make sure i read them when i have time.

but if you are going to argue something that can be debunked within a minute of looking through scholarly papers then please do not @ me because i read it all, mostly nearly 2 years ago, and it grows wearisome. you can check scholar.google.com or medrxiv/biorxiv to verify this yourself, and it will help you not to look like a turnip should you inadvertently be about to regurgitate something silly.

Wonder how quick western governments would become "Anti-Vax" if we invented a vaccine that stopped Covid while also stopping children from turning gay.

Would be a popular vaccine in the middle east and China.

I believe the Iran-Contra CIA crack cocaine conspiracy. We really did give guns to terrorists and the CIA really did flood black neighborhoods with cocaine.

I believe it's really possible JFK was killed by an inter-government order or agency.

...hmm that's all that comes to mind in terms of US government related stuff, I'm sure there's a bunch of smaller stuff I believe as well

lots of smaller conspiracies here and there
