US Politics The Mueller Investigation - report is out

This testy exchange is hilarious:

I hadn't seen that exchange yet. WTF is "I take your question"? May as well say "I like peanut butter. Creamy." How bizarre. I'd criticize the person making statements as opposed to asking questions, but I get both sides tend to soapbox for their 5min. But a a response of "I take your question"? That sense no makes.

Graphic novel? Sure, why not.

I'll check the 30min summary when I can get 30min (HA!)...but thank you.

if Trump would just fucking nuke DPRK or Moscow we'd have dropped all of this a long time ago

and you can can your "y r u like this"; some of us are against occupied government forces at all costs. Enjoy swimming laps in hypocrisy.

The USA and their string-puller Israel have been occupied by psychopaths.

And so for what reason are you even against "occupied government forces"? To save the people you wanna nuke? ? I can see why you support US foreign policy. Don't worry there won't be any Russians jumping out of your closet

I'd be disappointed because Russian guys are hot as fuck. Are you sure? :(

I have been with 2 Russian dudes and trust me, it doesn't change my opinion on politics. I'm sorry.

their string-puller Israel
So Israel wants us to sell tons of arms to Saudi Arabia? And to buy a bunch of oil from nations like Qatar? Get real...

It's shit like this that makes me laugh at the conspiracy theorists. It's also pretty rich coming from you, the person who claimed "gasoline is affordable" because of Trump.

Hilarious.

You can basically lie as much as you want and if you have a bunch of money no one's going to fuck with you.

Everyone's afraid DJT will hire a hit man. I don't think anyone is concerned with actual justice as they are making it past these next few years alive. :\

You have at best a fundamental understanding of geopolitics. Israel and Saudi are unspoken allies and along with the US hold the power in the region. Saudi and Israel both want to see the end of Iran "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

It is to those who have read it.
Which part specifically do you consider a success?

Teaming up against Iran is the obvious success only an Iranian regime supporter would not see. We're slowly eradicating belief in false systems by playing the losers against each other until they're all gone. It's called an atheist takeover. It's called a living proof there is no god. I didn't start it, I'm not continuing it, but I understand it. Do you think my belief is misguided or wrong? Do you have a different belief system regarding Israel and why you think it's so evil? They have fairly decent civil rights. I don't understand all the Israel-hate.

There's a lot of peaceful middle eastern countries. Iran isn't one of them. I don't know why you are so pro-Iran. I'm guessing sanctions, poverty and executing homosexuals appeals to you... or something. Cheap heroin? I don't get it. There's literally nothing good or worthwhile over there except for the citizens who are largely being misused/abused by the gov't. *SHRUGS*

I wouldn't go so far as to say "IT'S A SHITHOLE COUNTRY NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE THERE" like your idol DJT though. I'm sure there's people who have pride in living there and there are beautiful parts of the countryside.

Explain what an "unspoken alliance" is. I want to know more about this allusive idea.

P.S. to anyone who isn't JG if you can't see this, please tell me again why the Republicans are doing this "Make America White Again" thing to trigger the liberals, and 20 democratic presidential "candidates" are all playing the race card keeping their heads fully buried in the sand while there's much more important geopolitical issues at stake? There's more important domestic issues that effect everyone? Does no one get this?

Dems: "War is for oil" lol try again. US is #1 exporter of crude oil right now. Our allies are pumping out quite a bit and we're micromanaging the price of oil as we go along (notice how the price of gas dropped when Kashoggi was murdered.)

I'm half Israeli, I'm a US citizen. I hold my countries to a higher standard because I feel they should be setting a good example and they are doing the exact opposite. I don't think countries or nations are inherently evil, I think psychopaths are evil, they come in all colours, and they have more of a stranglehold on some governments than on others.

There's nothing atheist about what's happening. Our world leaders are basically apocalyptic religious zealots who are very keen to usher in the End Times. The Talmudic Jews (not all Jews OK) are waiting for their Moshiach (Messiah) to arrive so they will rule over the Gentiles. Meanwhile the Evangelical Christians are waiting for Jesus to return but they believe the Jews must control the Holy Lands as a prerequisite for this to happen. This is basically why Christian Americans support Israel (it's also because Jews have undue influence in mainstream media and government via lobbying and dual-citizen politicians).

Why did you say I'm pro-Iran? I am not a fan of the Iranian regime, but that does not mean I want to go to war with them. There are other ways you can coerce countries to alter their domestic policies, but psychopaths love blood and war (plus they can line their pockets in the process).

You also have to separate domestic and foreign policy. For eg Putin, not a big fan of him domestically but internationally he's an expert statesman and a positive balance of power globally (don't listen to CNN - go listen to him talk).

Why not just push for reform or be an activist instead of taking such a radical approach? Not judging just wondering.

Like what do you think Israel should be doing differently? Giving land to Palestine and making a deal w/ them or whatever?

Yes and the atheist part about it is most people in the know realize nothing like that is ever going to come to fruition, there's no god and they can just play the believers against each other. China gets that. DPRK gets that. There's no good atheist state, and every attempt at one has failed in a plethora of antihumanist catastrophies. Intelligent life is inherently self destructive and a religious "ignorance-based" state is probably the only way to maintain basic human dignity (hence why I'm not too bothered by a Christian majority here and see it, Judaism, and Buddhism as an atheist's best friend compared to Islam).

Trust me when I say this, people are pretend religious zealots. It's a show they put on for the believers. Trump doesn't really go to church except for photo ops or to garner more votes.

For eg Putin, not a big fan of him domestically but internationally he's an expert statesman
That has got to be a joke. How can anyone be so sympathetic to Putin or the illegitimate Russian Federation is beyond me. The rest of your post was really enlightening and thank you for sharing.

What part of my approach do you consider radical? Remember you're the one who calls for nuking large numbers of people lol. I just tell the truth. The best disinfectant is sunlight.

This is a tough question. Because I understand intimately the Israeli mentality (I was over there earlier this year). I would say #1 follow international law. Then also dismantle illegal settlements, retreat to the 1967 borders, and be serious about implementing a 2 state solution. I'd also tell them to stop fucking around internationally and committing terror attacks to blame on their enemies. And stop influencing the US government with their lobbying for ridiculous new laws that makes criticizing Israeli foreign policy illegal (Americans should be much more mad about this).

I do think there is some kind of religious/spiritual war happening globally but the real details are hidden. Like I didn't think much of Christianity or Christian values until I saw them directly under attack via the establishment. That's what kinda woke me up to the reality and importance of it all. You don't attack something that isn't a threat, and if evil people are threatened by something then there might be something "good", or at least important, about it.

I agree that people often hide behind their religions, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're atheist, they may just have a more covert and insidious spiritual belief system. I'm more inclined to believe the leaders of countries like USA/Israel/Iran/Vatican etc are closer to Satanic than whatever they espouse publicly.

That has got to be a joke. How can anyone be so sympathetic to Putin or the illegitimate Russian Federation is beyond me. The rest of your post was really enlightening and thank you for sharing.
No it's actually a joke how Putin is presented in Western media, the lies disseminated, and the conclusions that people come to. Serious question - how many speeches of his have you actually listened to, or have you formed all your opinion on him from Western media?

If you never have then do me a favor and listen to his speech from Munich in 2007:

This is a tough question.
I respect that it appears to be a difficult situation and that you carefully worded an answer, much appreciated.

The "excellent statesman" is supporting the Assad regime. I don't listen to any of his speeches. I'll read things he's said. Nothing he says is good. He's an autocratic dictator who pretends to be centrist in int'l politics while covertly altering other countries' politics through hacking, propaganda, etc. Pretty words coming from his lips won't make up for any of the extrajudicial killings or terrible policy decisions they've made over the years.

OK so forgive me for my ignorance, what int'l laws is Israel not following? I heard about the houses they knocked down in the west bank, but they went to court and took like 10 years in court and got an injunction or w/e before knocking 'em down... what are they doing against int'l law?

I know what Russia/China/DPRK are doing against int'l laws and peace treaties...

Keep in mind that the sources that are telling you those things about Putin are linked to people doing the exact same things (and much worse). I didn't say he was perfect but he's one of the best global leaders we have atm.

The annexation of land, building settlements, I believe bulldozing houses falls under it not sure, dropping white phosphorous, their snipers routinely take out unarmed civilians, they often bomb civilian areas.

DOJ abruptly drops once-heralded prosecution of Russian troll farm initiated by Mueller

In a striking and unexpected abandonment of a once-heralded prosecution initiated by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the Justice Department moved Monday to drop charges against two Russian companies that were accused of funding a social media meme campaign to further their “strategic goal to sow discord in the U.S. political system, including the 2016 presidential election.”

Late Monday, with jury selection in the case set to begin in just two weeks, a federal judge granted the DOJ's motion to kill the prosecution for several counts of conspiring to defraud U.S. agencies tasked with combating election interference. The government acknowledged the Russian companies were never likely to actually face punishment anyway and cited possible national security risks with going forward to trial.
...
But with the case approaching trial, prosecutors beat a hasty retreat, and said they had to weigh the risk of potentially exposing sensitive national security information against the benefits of continuing with the case against a company that likely wouldn’t face any significant punishment in the United States.

In the court filing on Monday, prosecutors said Concord had been “eager and aggressive in using the judicial system to gather information about how the United States detects and prevents foreign election interference.”

“In short, Concord has demonstrated its intent to reap the benefits of the Court’s jurisdiction while positioning itself to evade any real obligations or responsibility,” prosecutors wrote in Monday’s filing. “It is no longer in the best interests of justice or the country’s national security to continue this prosecution."

There goes a fistful of Mueller's indictments. I'm not reading this as Trump covering his ass, nor even an honest assessment that the initial charges were unfounded. I'm reading this, from the article linked, that the Russian's charged (or their representing companies) are simply trying to game the system and find out more clearly how the DOJ operates so they can dodge them in the future.

Oh so Mueller's dog&pony indictments have been dropped?

I almost forgot about the days when Trump was allegedly an agent of Vladimir Putin lol
Anyone who thought that is an idiot.

If you read the quote he posted, it in no way exonerates the Russian troll farm, it just says it's very unlikely to result in prosecution and would be a risk of exposing national security intelligence to proceed.

it's very unlikely to result in prosecution

Correct. Which makes one wonder why file something you don't think will be prosecuted?

and would be a risk of exposing national security intelligence to proceed.

Again, why indict if doing so exposes national security intelligence...unless you never expected the accused to push back and were banking on an empty indictment to puff up the investigation results?

I still see this dismissal says nothing to false allegations or true. But if you KNOW going to trial is a) not going to result in prosecution, and b) exposes nat'l security...it begs the question of why do it in the first place?
