We’ve been curious for a while about the drugging and drinking habits of other countries. How does America compare to the rest of the world? Do people in the Far East and Africa drink and smoke as much or more than we do? And which countries are more likely to do harder drugs? So we scoured through various studies in order to find an answer to the question, which countries that do the most drugs.

I am from the United States, and to see numbers like that does not surprise me, like any survey though the data reflects the takers. I wonder if there are any other surveys from say the 60s, 70s so on, almost like a drug census that we could compare data to.

One thing is for sure, drugs are getting more and more mainstream in this country.
 
and the UK is not even in the top 20, im guessing they didnt survey the UK? or was this an american hype kinda thing

Last time I checked something like 7% interviewed admitted to using cocaine in 2010/11 and that was only for 16-24 year olds?

Also on wikipedia official alchohol consumption per capita for the USA they stand like 20th compared to other countries?

Seems like a pretty strange study

USA are going to consume the most cocaine, they are best placed for it than anyone else but I know they cant drink for shit (here we go) :P :P

Why can't they put everything on the same page and link to the graphics? Why do I have to slog through a presentation?

The worst--the absolute worst--are the countdowns on Bleacher Report. Like, to get to their predictions for the NL East I have to click through 25 slides I don't care about--and pause for an ad.

some news sites have a printer friendly version.

but most dont nowadays because it increase their number of pageviews so they make more ad money
 
If 1% of America is anything like me and my friends, then we own the drug consumption market hands down. And we'll all be dead before we're 40.

What a stupid article IMO. Every country has its own drugs that are abused more commonly. South Africa is #16 on that list, but if we were talking about methaqualone, it would be #1. The drugs picked for this were sure to make USA #1.
 
^ 100% agree, like I said it's all based on who took the survey, it did seem to be rather biased though, espically since on the article involving the US the writer stated "we're number 1"
