The Meth Thread

It is really funny to read what you guys think about Meth.

BL is soooo super conservative! I know this is a good thing, and because of this the OP probably should have posted this in his journal.

Buuut, not everyone out there has an addictive personality. I know many many people who use Meth responsibly.

The trouble starts much like has already been said.

1. Use once.
2. Use on week ends.
3. Use at parties and weekends.
4. Use at work and parties and weekends.
5. Use to wake up, use at work, use at parties, use weekends.
6. Cannot function as a human being without it.
7. Cannot function as a human being without it, cannot function as a human being with it.
8. Fucked, time to do some H. :) Jokes...

I like to recommend that people only use stimulants once a month max. This is especially the case with meth as it has a verrrry long half life, which means that even if you only dose once every weekend, you may never actually ever hit base line.

Halflife of Meth is ~15 hours.

eg.

|15h|30h|45h|60h |75h | 90h~4days
|15h|15h|15h|15h |15h |15h|
|1/2|1/4 | 1/8|1/16|1/32|1/64|

So from the diagram above you still have 1/64 of your dose in your system at the 4 day mark.

This means if you take a large enough dose, say 1g, you still have 15.62mg in your system 4 days after ingesting 1g of Meth assuming 100% Bioavailability.

Bioavailability: 62.7% oral; 79% nasal; 90.3% smoked; 99% rectally; 100% IV

15.62mg is still a massively active amount of methamphetamine. Imagine 2x10mg dex-amphetamine... and the multiply that by X.

This is a serious drug. But one worth trying. Nobody I know of has tried meth and said they did not like it. Of course the comedown is another story, but the hi is very enjoyable. Your body seems to be working 'the way it is supposed to' whilst on meth.

Even after a small dose of street grade meth <0.1g makes me feel as though I have no emotions for the next 3 days. Not fun. No enjoyment.

The decision is yours, just make sure you have some time to recover.

And remember: The higher you go, the further you have to fall.

Feel free to correct my numbers via PM if you see something obviously wrong with my post and I will edit it accordingly.

Be safe.

Don't listen to these negative Nancies man. I've been using meth since my senior year of highschool, I turn 21 this year. I've NEVER been addicted to or feined for it. The only time I have fiened for it was when I had money, called a friend and asked if they could get meth, said they could and told me to come over and once I was over they couldn't get it.

But, proceed with caution, Don't go on long binges. It wastes the drug and chips away at your sanity. Weather you get addicted or not meth will fuck with your mind either in a small or big way. Just take GOOOD care of your body when on meth. Brush your teeth, get some sleep, and eat a little bit each day even if you're hungry. Milk helps since meth takes calcium from your body.

The feeling is amazing. I started out snorting it and went on to smoking. Haven't been back to snorting since. Although I probably should since smoking it is so fun that you keep doing it even when you're as high as you're gonna get.

It's the best drug to do with friends, a meth conversation is worth weeks of sober conversations.

Have fun and be safe man. Welcome to the wonderful world of Meth.

Yes meth is amazing....I haven't done it in 5 yrs because I got so hooked so fast after doing coke for 5 years...it was so much better. Scared to do it again because it was so awesome...sex for 4 days straight :)

Yes meth is my favorite my far...because I love stimulants..I was addicted to coke for 8 years and then tried Meth (Ice) and got hooked the first time. My life was going down the pisser from it so I would recommend not doing it very often. It is very addictive and IMO it is the wonder-drug...you can have sex for 6 days straight and feel awesome..not like coke when you have to keep snorting lines. I am scared to ever try it again because I remember how addicted I got but I want my fiance to try it witih me once...He says no because he knows how much I love coke occasionaly now and is scared I will get hooked again. I don't think I can ever touch that drug again..I have done every drug out there and the withrdrwals after doing meth for 6mos were unbearable.

^ hmm negative nancy huh? Do you have any idea how many times I've heard, "addicted the first time"? I can't even count.
OP: I'm not going to preach none drug use, you can make your own choices. But at least look at the information you are being given and at least get your head on straight about it. :)

anyone who says they were addicted the first time is a straight powerless moron.

I don't believe that. Even if the psychologically think they are, it still has an impact. If you have a source that states that is an impossibility I might considering adding a disclaimer. If not, my opinion stands.

From what I've read about meth, it's a purely psychologically addictive drug with only minor physically addictive properties. That's because it's so different from the physically-addictive substances that make you feel goofy, tired, off-balance, and in general "fuck you up". Meth actually makes the user feel MORE sober and efficient with things like energy, confidence, and concentration, so it's very easy to convince oneself that you need it to function at 100% and very hard to go back to your old way of being, especially if you have a condition that makes you feel fatigued, depressed, insecure or unable to concentrate and work efficiently, even after only one usage.

Meth addiction doesn't make a person weak, stupid or "bad"; in fact I think it usually comes from a good place of genuinely wanting to feel good, relate well to others, and perform well in a world where people are overworked and underappreciated. The stresses of everyday life: rude co-workers, demanding spouses, children, bills, health problems, mental problems, and other stressors take a toll on a lot of us, leaving us devoid of energy and motivation...meth can restore that temporarily. Some of us want nothing more than to feel confident and excited about life like we were in childhood, and meth is a quick, easy solution.

That's not to make excuses for anyone who uses meth or other stimulants, and it doesn't justify using such harmful substances, but it helps to put yourself into another person's shoes before judging. I've never tried meth or any amphetamine, but can relate to a lot of users who cite insecurities, low self esteem, fatigue, stress, depression, and social anxiety as the reason they started using.

Thats right, this society sucks so much, people have stress all the time.

addiction is addiction, psychological or physical, its a need or believed need for the drug

That depends on how you define 'psychologically addictive.'

If by psychologically addictive, you mean in the sense that people say MDMA, or weed, or even video games or whatever can be psychologically addictive in that it's an enjoyable experience that can potentially lead to misuse because it's so fun, then meth is a lot more than that.

If by psychologically addictive you mean it creates an intense mental cravings for the drug which can lead people to use against their better judgement because they want to shut up the brain's constant screaming for another hit of dopamine and awesomeness, then yes, it's 'purely psychologically addictive.'

do you get withdrawals if you cease a crazy meth habit?

if so, what are they?

what i mean is someone who tries meth once and goes "Oh I'm addicted now"
that, to me, is someone who doesn't want to be in control. Instead of saying "wow this is amazing, I'll definitely do this more than once"

the only addiction i really understand is opiate addiction because when you develop a habit if you try to quit it causes physical pain. My whole motto is don't develop a bad habit in the first place. I've used heroin recreationaly for 2½ years now and not once have I gone through withdrawals

Evening ALL :)

Just wanted to add.... From 8 years of smokin meth using ONLY Vaporising thru water an munching it, i can promise you all, it is possible to live a very normal life while using, the same rules apply to Meth as do ANY drug, MODERATION. And common sense. That's it. There are no secrets.
Of course, ur gear quality will definitely dictate as to whether u suffer bodily damage or not, assuming you take care of yourself both during and inbetween usage. Folks, i say this from living in Samui Thailand for 25 years, u can throw a stone in any direction and hit a dealer.
Good diet, Vitamins, H2o and exercise will enable your body to manage and sustain the battering methh gives your body.
Follow this and trust me, meth can definitely aid work and productivity

Hmmm...I thought most meth users did it for the week-long 'no sleep adventures'...Least I did(did the key word).

Recreational was not a word in my meth vocabulary. When you are the runner for the largest dealer in your little hick town, you tend to stay higher than you would've anticipated. I loved my time on meth, but I would call it anything but recreational. It consumed me and any friends I dragged in with me. It's odd I'm clean for 2 years from that crap now...If you'd have known me when I was on it, you'd never have tagged me for a quiter.

It was easy for me to quit though, strangely. I had a sudden thought that my teeth were falling out on some day within a lengthy binge(usually my binges were at the least 3 days long)and I simply told the dealer I couldn't help him anymore, my teeth will fall out. Ended it right there, never touched it again.

I use it occasionally, but I find it far too addicting to use regularly so I space it out.

I'm still waiting on some proven report on the addictiveness of meth. Perhaps that first time use addiction is not possible. Yeah, maybe it is just drug propaganda, but at the rate I've seen meth go here in the last 5 years or so, maybe it isn't so bad.
