The Metallica Thread

RIP Cliff Burton.

Here is my favorite. It is always where I have been headed. Aunts, cousins, both sides schizophrenic. Scary shit.

This isn't anything to discuss other than as a home health nurse I love to blast this when I am in a irreverent mood when working

Celebrate The First Day Of Summer!
June 19, 2014

Welcome to the official start of summer! Along with the longest day of the year comes the release of "Lords of Summer" on iTunes worldwide. If you joined us for a show or two in South America or on the first leg of the European tour you will recognize it as the “new song” in the set. Our friends over at ESPN heard it and decided they want to kick off their summer by spinning it on and off all day Saturday, so you just might hear it again if you’re a sports fan in the States.

Those of you with astute ears will notice some minor differences from the version we streamed on YouTube and released on LiveMetallica.com... it’s still a work in progress, but we wanted to share it with you as it stands today... it most probably will change again!

I have d/l the new version but can't say that I have noticed the minor differences yet... I'd only listened to the free-to-download version twice though.

Getting psyched though... it's only just over 2 weeks until I will be seeing Metallica headline at Sonisphere. =D

Should get to whet my appetite by watching some coverage of Glastonbury next weekend... for anyone who is in the UK, tune into BBC2 a week on Saturday at 21:30 for that! (Supposedly there will be highlights of Pixies & MGMT in the same programme.)

I listened to the new demo "Lords of summer" (shitty title imho)
it was a bit better than their last works (at least they're back to thrash) but still very average and a bit meh
not bad, but there are thrash bands waaaaay better than metallica nowadays

metallica was great until they dropped the black album from then on they were one of the worst bands i've ever heard

I just had to share this. It is on my thread too. God I wish I could go.

^ T-minus 4 days... or 108 hours & 35 minutes to be precise. =D

But, but...

Although of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I suppose you could argue that's the exception that proves the rule.
