the market: stocks, bonds, options, whatever

In North-Korea Human Shit is worth about as much as Gold.

Lack of Fertiliser created a total new 'smelly' market.
Worth as much as gold is a stretch but they do use and depend on it for fertiliser. They call it 'nightsoil' and someone from each community has the lucky job of collecting it every night.

Such was the case in the 90s anyway, I doubt much has changed.

Learned about it in a book called Nothing to Envy which I'd recommend to anyone with even the slightest passing interest in North Korean society.

Veggie Human shit you can technically compost and fertilise your crop/ soil with.
Same for your Piss, very good too. Then again Lava, Wild Grass and Seaweed.
Will do to, so have my preference. Add Compost without shit. And the soil is rich.

Never used my shit though, as there are also ethical reason s not to do that.
But every gardener pee s in his garden, not like you got a choice [toilet].

Remember when I was telling you and xorkoth about bitcoin stock MSTR at ~180 in winter 22/23? It had a 1 for 10 split since then and is at 350 now. So $1,800 is $35,000 now
Did a dumb move so have to start over again.

But the balance. Gained 1000 in 1. 1/2 years no loss.
But sold at a bad point, but that s just the way live goes.
Learned my lesson. Was close

got some last minute trades in for the year, liquidated margin account...

it's been a choppy year, not much growth

keeping the power dry for opportunities in 2025

Pretty crazy that MSTR is trying to raise authorized shares by 10B, unless they plan to do a big split like 20:1 or something. Feels like maybe Saylor is gonna try to corner the bitcoin market (like the Hunt brothers did with silver in the 1970's) by selling tons of shares to buy bitcoin

I'm really tempted to buy some year end Gold and Silver on sale.
There's some 1/10oz random mint gold rounds for $295.
But the source of it would be bitcoin.
Maybe wait for the new tax year cuz it goes to the 2nd I think.

Bit and Ether dropping, Gold going up.
Don t get the reasoning behind buying something expensive atm.

Enlighten me. As coins lost their worth already .

So tradeoff especially unprofitable. Without goldsale available !

gold has been hanging steady at 2600 for awhile now. So it may be a bottom.
And if BTC hit 100k again it may be worth it to trade in.
The experts advise that you have 25% of your portfolio in precious metals. Which I do not.
and it would take quite a bit to hit that ratio. It's just dominated by the value of BTC, my port.
just saw that one good deal on gold 1/10 rounds. and caught my eye.

Just restarting but any worthwhile info welcome.
400 investment 1000 gain 1.5 year, just when to restart.
Coins dropping Gold rising, waiting the right moment.

Imagine how much smaller your portfolio would be right now if you had 25% of it in metals this whole time

seems risky diversifying within cryptocurrencies

if something happens to bust the Bitcoin bubble, it's likely other cryptos will go through the same collapse

most of the crypto economy still keeps prices pegged to fiat (hence Tether) so, I suspect, a massive price collapse could occur without actually destroying the ecosystem because they will just adjust prices in crypto on the fly to match its new price.

all the people holding crypto as an investment, though, will be bagholders
