I know everyone has their own language when it comes to love but does any one out there believe there is a look. Seep in your eyes the window to your soul that expresses that to other people that cant be faked or forced and just happens naturally. I know its nornal to have desires for people outside of your relationship but can you keep that look up for years and decades?
I'm a guy in my 30s been in a long term relationship for almost 10 years and hetro. When we first started I had that look well not initially and not always but it was there. I look at other women all the time and sometimes I have that look. I want to have it for my partner but have been struggling and struggling to find it. We have our differences, culturally and psychologically but I like to think I still love her.
I had another lover 10 years ago and when I think of her or look at her I still have that look (She's married to another guy now and wont talk to me). I have met one or two other women in the last 10 years that I have that look for but it doesnt come along very often. Its not just desire and not just physical but also to do with mental and emotional connection. I just started reading "The Power of Beauty" by Nancy Friday she refers to it as THE GAZE. That book has really shaken me up. I dont think I will ever find it again. I'm not great to look at maybe a 6 out of 10 and I'm a bit of a loner but I can be nice sometimes, usually when I'm high but not exclusively.
